When our engineers are out at a customer’s home installing Solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers or heat pumps, things don’t always go to plan. That’s where you come in.\nYou’ll be the person engineers and customers turn to when there’s a technical issue on site. You’ll help understand what’s gone wrong, work through the options and make sure the right support is provided to get the job moving again.\nThis is an office-based role, so it’s a great opportunity for someone who has a technical mindset and enjoys problem-solving, but wants to work in a fast-paced office environment rather than being on site themselves.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nTake calls and requests from engineers and customers when installation issues arise\n\nUnderstand technical problems and help identify practical solutions\n\nSupport engineers remotely while they’re working at customer properties\n\nProvide clear and reassuring advice to customers when things don’t go to plan\n\nCoordinate engineers, technicians and other teams to resolve issues\n\nAssess the urgency of issues and prioritise emergency or safety-related callouts\n\nProvide basic troubleshooting support where appropriate\n\nKeep job information, call logs and updates accurate in our systems\n\nFollow up on outstanding issues to make sure they’re properly resolved\n\nIdentify recurring technical issues and share feedback with the wider team\n\nHelp improve processes and the customer and engineer experience\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nYou don’t necessarily need to be a renewable energy expert. A technical mindset and the ability to understand and solve problems are what really matter.
