This role aligns business objectives with technology capabilities through advanced business analysis, product strategy, and delivery execution within Agile teams, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality digital experiences. Technical Analysts are expected to work with and improve upon current systems while taking budgetary concerns into consideration. They must have the knowledge to suggest more cost-effective solutions and applications when appropriate and must always adhere to company’s procedures and policies.\nAct as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, Product Managers, Engineering, UX/UI, QA, and external vendors to ensure business needs are translated into actionable technology solutions.\nLead and perform advanced business analysis to identify, define, and document business, functional, and system requirements for mobile, web, and other digital platforms.\nDevelop and maintain clear documentation including: Business requirement documents (BRDs)\nFunctional and system requirement\nUser stories and acceptance criteria\nWorkflow diagrams and process flows\nSource-to-target and integration diagrams\n\nWork within a Scrum / Agile delivery framework, including: Participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives\nCreating, refining, and prioritizing user stories in collaboration with Product Owners\nEnsuring stories are well-defined, testable, and aligned with business and technical objectives\n\nPartner with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs aligned to strategic objectives.\nProvide oversight and hands-on support for Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including: Defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria\nReviewing and validating test plans and test cases\nCoordinating UAT execution with business stakeholders\nValidating results and confirming readiness for release\n\nIdentify and manage defects, ensure resolution, and support release readiness.\nSupport release planning and ensure adherence to IT governance processes including:Change Management\nRelease Management\nVersion Control\nBaseline Management\n\nAssist in post-implementation reviews to evaluate solution effectiveness, adoption, and opportunities for improvement.\nResearch and evaluate new technologies, platforms, and tools that may improve Boyd Gaming’s mobile, web and other digital experiences. \nCollaborate with vendors for product evaluations, integrations, and issue resolution.\nDevelop, review, and approve technical, operational, and support documentation.\nSupport training activities and knowledge transfer for business and operational teams. \nApply strong analytical thinking and strategic insight to recommend improvements to digital products, processes, and user experiences. \nEnsure all work complies with Boyd Gaming policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. \nOther duties as assigned.\n Education or Formal Training Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field required.\nEquivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.\nExperience:\nMinimum 8 years of progressive experience performing business analysis, technology analysis, or product delivery roles within IT or digital product organizations.\nMinimum 8 years of experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications and user stories.\nDemonstrated experience working within Agile / Scrum delivery environments.\nHands-on experience supporting QA and UAT testing, including test planning, execution coordination, and validation.\nProven experience supporting mobile application and website platforms, including integrations and backend systems.\nExperience partnering directly with business stakeholders, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to deliver enterprise-scale digital solutions.\nStrong understanding of SDLC, release management, and IT governance best practices.\nOther Education, Experience, Skills:\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.\nProven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. \nHigh level of attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.\nAbility to think strategically while remaining hands-on in execution. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Agile lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence or equivalent). \nITIL V3 Awareness or similar service management training preferred. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain any required regulatory or gaming-related licenses\n
