This position provides hands-on leadership to production employees, drives continuous improvement, and ensures that production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are consistently achieved.\nThe Production Supervisor works closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, improve processes, and support the overall operational goals of Boyd Thermal by Eaton.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.\nPlan and coordinate daily production activities based on customer demand, production schedules, labor availability, and material requirements.\n Monitor production performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety, scrap, productivity, downtime, throughput, and on-time delivery.\nEnsure employees follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies.\nMaintain a strong focus on workplace safety and promote a proactive safety culture.\nIdentify production bottlenecks, downtime, quality issues, and process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.\nWork with Quality and Engineering teams to investigate nonconformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives, including 5S, standard work, waste reduction, visual management, and root-cause analysis.\nCoordinate with Maintenance to address equipment breakdowns, preventative maintenance requirements, and recurring equipment issues.\nEnsure appropriate staffing and labor allocation to meet production requirements.\nTrain and cross-train employees to improve workforce flexibility and operational coverage.\nConduct shift meetings, communicate production priorities, and ensure effective handoffs between shifts.\nReview production reports and communicate performance, issues, and improvement opportunities to management.\nEnforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment.\nAssist with employee performance management, attendance, scheduling, and development.\nSupport implementation and validation of new processes, equipment, products, and manufacturing methods.\nMaintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with applicable company and regulatory requirements.\nPerform other duties as required to support manufacturing operations.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.\n3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.\nExperience leading hourly production employees in a high-volume or engineered manufacturing environment.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality systems, and workplace safety.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.\nAbility to interpret production data and use KPIs to drive operational improvements.\nStrong communication, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP and manufacturing systems.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in thermal management, heat exchangers, cooling systems, electronics cooling, or other precision manufacturing environments.\nExperience with Eaton or similar industrial manufacturing environments.\nLean/Six Sigma training or certification.\nExperience with root-cause analysis, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar problem-solving tools.\nExperience implementing 5S, Kaizen, standard work, visual management, and other Lean practices.\nExperience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.\nFamiliarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, brazing, welding, assembly, or other relevant manufacturing processes.\nCore Competencies\nLeadership & Team Development\nSafety & Accountability\nProduction Planning & Execution\nQuality & Continuous Improvement\nProblem Solving & Root-Cause Analysis\nPerformance Management\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nData-Driven Decision Making\nLean Manufacturing\nCustomer Focus\nWork Environment\nThis position is primarily based in a manufacturing facility and requires regular presence on the production floor.
