The Quality Engineer investigates non-conformances, leads corrective actions, and identifies opportunities for process improvements to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements. Additional responsibilities include monitoring supplier performance, supporting internal and supplier audits, and partnering with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to maintain product reliability, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement.\nSKILLS & COMPETENCIES\nStrong communication skills with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the organization.\nEffective problem-solving skills using 8D and 5-Why methodologies.\nSolid organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).\nExperience in high-volume manufacturing (automotive or industrial preferred; OEM experience a plus).\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.\nAbility to prepare and present data clearly in reports and meetings.\nKEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a similar role.\nStrong understanding of core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.\nKnowledge of blueprint reading, drawing interpretation, and GD&T.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.\nHands-on experience with measurement tools, hand gauges, and testing equipment.\nPreferred experience in automotive or medical manufacturing\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nNormal amount of sitting and standing; Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor; Ability to work at a computer workstation; Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach.
