You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high performing cloud solutions that support organizational goals. This role partners closely with IT, security, engineering, and business stakeholders to develop cloud architectures, migrate applications, and ensure long term operational excellence across cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, modern application design, networking, security best practices, and automation. They will evaluate new technologies, establish architecture standards, and guide teams in adopting cloud-native capabilities. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, and a strategic mindset focused on resilience, efficiency, and cost optimization.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. We are not offering sponsorship to applicants for employment visa status.\nPosition is located on site in Omaha, NE\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:\nArchitects solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\n\nUses Infrastructure as Code to build reusable components and automation.\n\nCreates blueprints and roadmaps for cloud-based systems tailored to business requirements.\n\nSelects platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), tools, and infrastructure to optimize performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.\n\nOversees migration of applications and services to the cloud with minimal downtime and data loss.\n\nConducts Proof of Concept (POC) trials for innovative cloud solutions.\n\nArchitects secure environments with IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).\n\nMonitors and fine-tunes workloads for speed and resource utilization.\n\nApplies cost-management tactics to maximize ROI.\n\nDefines and enforces cloud standards, policies, and best practices.\n\nMaintains detailed documentation, e.g., architecture diagrams, configurations, policies.\n\nConsults with business, technical teams, and vendors to ensure solutions meet strategic goals.\n\nManages vendor relationships: selection, performance evaluation, and renegotiation.\n\nGuides teams of cloud engineers, developers, and DevOps staff on architecture and best practices.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\nProficient with public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (compute, networking, storage, serverless).\n\nInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and CI/CD pipeline expertise.\n\nContainer orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, ArgoCD).\n\nSolid background in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, LB, subnetting).\n\nSecurity essentials: IAM, encryption, firewall, identity management.\n\nStrong communicator: able to translate technical concepts and document processes clearly.\n\nLeadership and project management across multi-disciplinary teams.\n\nAnalytical problem solveridentifies bottlenecks and delivers remediation plans\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in cloud-native application and infrastructure architecture required.\n\nHands-on experience in security, compliance, and regulatory environments required.\n\nOn-call work to provide additional support and/or may require work to be performed outside of traditional business hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays required.\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\n\nRelevant cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/ Professional), Microsoft Azure Solution Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\n\nOther Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position.
