Working closely with Category Managers, business stakeholders, and suppliers, you will provide market intelligence, strategic insights, supplier performance support, and category enablement to help deliver procurement and business objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the development and execution of category strategies across the Assets portfolio, including market analysis, sourcing activities, demand planning, and value delivery initiatives.\n\nDevelop high-quality presentations, reports, and strategic communications that support stakeholder engagement and informed decision-making.\n\nLead and coordinate a category support team, ensuring work is prioritised effectively and aligned to business needs.\n\nSupport supplier performance management through reviews, risk assessments, performance improvement plans, and issue resolution activities.\n\nMonitor category performance and KPI delivery, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation.\n\nDrive standardisation of category management processes, sourcing tools, reporting, and governance practices.\n\nManage and optimise procurement buying channels, including SAP Ariba content, ensuring compliance with contracts, pricing, and procurement policies.\n\nEssential Requirements\nDegree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.\n\nMinimum 6-8 years' experience in Indirect Procurement, Category Management, or Strategic Sourcing.\n\nExperience supporting category strategies within complex industrial, engineering, operations, asset-intensive, or infrastructure environments.\n\nStrong understanding of category management, supplier relationship management, contract management, spend analysis, and commercial value creation.\n\nAbility to interpret business requirements and market intelligence to support sourcing strategies and procurement decision-making.\n\nExperience working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to drive performance, manage risk, and deliver business outcomes.\n\nStrong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.\n\nExperience leading teams or coordinating work within a matrix or project-based environment.\n\nComfortable working in global, multicultural organisations and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nDesirable\nCIPS qualification or working towards membership.\n\nExperience supporting Assets, Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Industrial Services, or Technical Procurement categories.\n\nExperience with SAP Ariba, Salesforce, Compass, or similar procurement technologies.\n\nStrong digital fluency and ability to leverage technology to improve procurement outcomes.\n\nExperience working across international teams and managing remote stakeholder relationships.\n\nAt bp, we provide the following environment and benefits to you:\nA company culture where we respect our diverse and unified teams, where we are proud of our achievements and where fun and the demeanor of giving back to our environment are highly valued\n\nPossibility to join our social communities and networks\n\nLearning opportunities and other development opportunities to craft your career path\n\nLife and health insurance, medical care package\n\nAnd many other benefits.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
