The role is responsible for maintaining reliable cost data, supporting forecasting and reporting activities and providing accurate and timely cost insights to enable effective project decision making.\nJob Responsibilities\nThe key responsibilities of the role include:\nEstablish project control budgets from approved estimates and schedules, ensuring full understanding of estimate basis, scope, schedule and execution plan.\nMaintain project cost structures, budget, commitments, actuals, accruals, VOWD and cost reports.\nSupport cost forecasting, cashflow and variance analysis.\nReview contractor cost reports, invoices, staffing plans, progress quantities and unit-rate information.\nSupport progress measurements in collaborative with Project Planner.\nEscalate cost risks, forecast movements, unsupported contractor claims and data quality issues.\nMaintain cost data integrity across reporting systems including CMMS (Maximo, S/4HANA), Excel and Power BI.\nSupport change control by assessing cost impact and incorporating approved changes into project forecasts\nPrepare clear inputs for project reporting, including, but not limited to, dashboards and governance reports.\nJob Qualifications\nCore Competency\nStrong knowledge of project cost management, financial governance and cost reporting including budgets, commitments, actuals, VOWD and cash flow management.\nStrong knowledge of forecasting and cost performance management including EAC development, trend analysis and final cost prediction.\nStrong understanding of contractor cost control, change management and performance measurement including invoice verification, cost impact assessment and progress validation.\nDemonstrated Experience\nSignificant experience in project cost control within Oil and Gas, refining or heavy industrial environments. \nSignificant experience in cost controls systems. \nPreferred experience in quantity unit rate reporting on major capital projects and decommissioning projects. \nAt bp, we provide the following environment and benefits to you:\nA company culture where we respect our diverse and unified teams, where we are proud of our achievements and where fun and the attitude of giving back to our environment are highly valued \nPossibility to join our social communities and networks \nLearning opportunities and other development opportunities to craft your career path \nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
