We are now looking for Drilling Engineer to join our team in Mumbai, India! From our Mumbai office, you will be supporting BP as Technical service provider for partners in successfully planning and delivering drilling activities.\nYour main role will be to contribute to well planning and engineering, well construction, performance and lessons learned tracking related to wells within the partner Asset with an overall goal to improve processes, safety, well efficiencies and cost effectiveness.\nKey Accountabilities\nWork within an integrated team of engineers and operations to ensure delivery of high-quality wells activity, in accordance with industry safety and technical standards. \nApplies basic to advanced (depending on competency and experience) application of engineering design, program preparation, equipment readiness, and operations support.\nSuccessfully delivers wells drilled on time and within budget while continuously seeking areas of performance improvement and process optimisation in alignment with company wells practice and policy. \nTracks and reviews drilling performance, identifying lessons learned.\nSupport the cross-discipline reviews of subsurface and drilling major NPT events and work as link between SST and DS.\nParticipate in and support efficiency improvement exercises such as 5WHYS, mini-RCFA and After-Action Reviews with other disciplines when needed.\nSupport the engineering feasibility studies of continuous improvement initiatives for drilling and workover operations in Western Offshore including SIMOPS.\nSupport technology assessment, piloting and full-scale implementation for Completion solutions, Rigless workovers, and Downhole material selection.\nPromote awareness and compliance with HSE rules and industry practices.\nEssential Experience and Job requirements\nMinimum 6+ years of broad experience and deep technical drilling engineering and operational skills, gained through diverse work assignments.\nExperience of working in multi-discipline / functional project team and ability to influence others to provide quality inputs to ensure quality team delivery.\nAptitude to innovate and open to new ideas.\nAble to manage multiple activities and to quickly respond to changing business priorities.\nExperience in well planning, cost optimization, well performance and workover operations (sidetrack preparation, fishing and milling).\nExperience in multi-well platform drilling and dealing with associated challenges like anti- collision, integrity, SIMOPS, others.\nExperience in different types of drilling techniques like side-tracking, multi-laterals, horizontal wells, extended reach drilling, CTD, UBD, others.\nExperience dealing with drilling and workover NPT causes as wellbore stability, mud losses, stuck pipe, fishing, milling and well integrity related issues.\nProficient user of Engineering Software Packages such as WellCat, StressCheck, WellPlan and Compass. \nFluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate confidently at all organizational levels.\nEducation criteria\nDegree in Engineering or equivalent program from an Accredited University. \nMembership of a recognised professional body.\nDesirable criteria\nExperience working in international JV’s and complex multicultural environments is preferred.
