This is meant to empower our software and platform engineers while allowing them to learn and develop themselves.\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Enterprise Application Technical Lead with minimum 10 years of shown experience and at least 3 years in a technical lead capacity. The candidate should have broader development experience in programming languages (e.g. Java/.NET/Spring Boot), Integrations, AWS, and AI engineering to design, build, integrate, and support enterprise-grade digital business solutions.\nThe role requires deep expertise in custom application engineering, distributed systems, REST APIs, event-driven integration, enterprise messaging, data architecture, data security and production operations. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, with an expectation to personally contribute to solution design, development, integration engineering, code reviews, production support, and technical delivery.\nJob Responsibilities\n* Lead the technical design, development, implementation, and operational support of complex enterprise applications, including Java/.NET framework services, Spring Boot microservices, MVC-based web components, REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and cloud databases\n* Translate business requirements into enterprise solution designs, producing HLD/LLD artefacts, sequence diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and API contracts\n* See opportunities and build digital solutions demonstrating AI/ML, LLMs, RAG, Prompt engineering, and Agentic workflows\n* Compose and implement REST APIs and event-driven integrations using ActiveMQ (or a similar messaging platform) between enterprise applications and downstream/upstream systems\n* Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, and cloud-native workloads on AWS, using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and IAM.\n* Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all enterprise applications, adhering to protocols and organizational guidelines\n* Ensure data protection controls, encryption at rest & transit, data masking, PII/sensitive-data handling aligned to relevant compliance standards\n* Collaborate with business customers, and external vendors to gather and analyse requirements, and translate them into technical requirements and solution design\n* Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers on technical challenges and troubleshooting issues\n* Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences\n* Apply commercial skill to understand business needs and deliver solutions that provide tangible value and align with strategic objectives\n* Contribute to the overall data strategy and governance initiatives within the organization\nJob Qualifications & Technical skills\n* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)\n* Broader development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, .NET, Python, C/C++)\n* Proven experience leading the design and development of cloud-hosted enterprise-grade solutions\n* Solid understanding of enterprise integration, API-led connectivity, and event-driven architecture\n* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and observability tooling e.g. Prometheus, Grafana\n* Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar, AI-assisted software engineering practices, and AI-powered development workflows\n* Development experience with AI/ML applications would be preferred\n* Proven experience in agile scrum delivery\n* Proven track record to contribute effectively in group problem-solving environments.\n* Experience in establishing and maintaining data strategy and governance frameworks.\nAbout bp\nOur purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow.
