Someone who takes ownership, identifies risks and opportunities before they arise, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and drives improvements that create real business value.\nWhat you'll be doing\nEnsure accurate and compliant financial reporting in line with Group Accounting and Reporting & Control requirements.\nAct as a trusted finance advisor to business and operational teams on accounting treatments, controls, reporting requirements, Capex/Revex decisions, leases, accruals, and delegations of authority.\nSupport major capital projects, acquisitions, disposals, and other complex business transactions by providing financial expertise and insights.\nIdentify financial, operational, and control risks and proactively drive actions to mitigate them.\nLead quarterly close activities and support internal and external audits.\nPartner with stakeholders across the refinery to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance business performance.\nChallenge existing ways of working and continuously seek opportunities for simplification, standardization, and improvement.\nProvide independent advice and constructive challenge to support sound business decision-making.\nWhat you'll bring\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.\nMinimum 10 years of experience in Finance Control, Financial Accounting, Audit, Business Finance, or a similar finance leadership role.\nStrong understanding of financial controls, governance, reporting requirements, and risk management.\nExcellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.\nExperience supporting capital projects, investments, acquisitions, or complex business transactions.\nFluent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and spoken.\nStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organization.\nExperience working in a complex industrial, manufacturing, refining, energy, or multinational environment is highly valued.\nWhat will make you successful\nYou are highly proactive and take ownership of issues from identification through to resolution.\nYou don't wait for direction-you identify risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives and drive them forward independently.\nYou are comfortable challenging stakeholders and influencing decisions in a constructive and professional manner.\nYou thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and changing business demands.\nYou have a continuous improvement mindset and enjoy simplifying processes and strengthening controls.\nYou combine strong technical finance expertise with commercial awareness and business partnership skills.\nYou are resilient, confident, and able to make sound decisions based on incomplete or evolving information.\nWhy join us?\nThis is an opportunity to play a key role within one of our most important refining operations.
