This role combines people leadership, business partnership, data-driven insights, and constructive challenge to support informed decision-making and foster an inclusive, proactive, and resilient risk culture.\nJob Summary\nOperational Risk & Governance\nPartner with business leaders to support operational risk strategies, priorities, and initiatives.\nProvide guidance and constructive challenge on risks associated with business activities and new initiatives.\nEvaluate risk governance and controls, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting appropriate actions.\nContribute to the continued development of risk frameworks, processes, and governance practices.\nRisk Insights & Continuous Improvement\nOversee risk reporting, analytics, and dashboards that support effective decision-making.\nTranslate data and risk insights into clear recommendations for leadership and governance forums.\nSupport the continuous improvement of risk metrics, data quality, monitoring, and reporting.\nUse insights and collaboration to influence positive change and strengthen business resilience.\nPeople Leadership & Collaboration\nLead and develop a small team through clear objectives, coaching, feedback, and ongoing development.\nBuild trusted relationships and collaborate with colleagues across regions, functions, and business teams.\nCreate opportunities for knowledge sharing, learning, and professional growth.\nPromote an inclusive environment of transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent combinations of education, professional experience, and transferable skills will also be considered.\nProfessional Background\nRelevant professional experience in risk management, risk advisory, controls, audit, compliance, governance, operations, or related disciplines.\nExperience supporting risk assessments, controls, governance, or business improvement activities.\nExperience leading, coaching, or developing others.\nFamiliarity with GRC systems, Power BI, or similar risk, data, and visualization tools is beneficial.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong analytical thinking and practical problem-solving capabilities.\nEffective communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to provide constructive challenge while maintaining a collaborative approach.\nAbility to work effectively across diverse teams, functions, and geographies.\nPeople leadership skills with a focus on coaching, development, and inclusion.\nCuriosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.\nAbility to navigate competing priorities and evolving business needs.\nEnglish proficiency sufficient to collaborate effectively in a global business environment.\nWork Location & Shift Pattern\nSão Paulo, Brazil.\nHybrid model: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.\nNo travel expected.\nRelocation assistance not available.\nWhy join us\nAt bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and ambitious environment.
