The position provides operations and engineering support to offshore facilities as part of a technical service provision. The role contributes directly to bp’s business by enhancing production and increasing hydrocarbon recovery from one of the worlds largest oil fields.\nThis role will be based in Mumbai and the successful candidate is expected to work in a diverse multi skilled team.\nAccountabilities :\nIdentification and solving of operational problems in offshore process facilities. Strong technical understanding of operating complexes and associated well head platforms.\nProcess surveillance, monitoring and optimizing oil and gas offshore operations.\nReview and analyse production deferrals and identify and implement improvement actions to prevent recurrence.\nUse of root cause analysis techniques for elimination of recurring failures.\nSupport integrated hub capacity reviews, identify and implement debottlenecking and production opportunities.\nRecommend upgrades and improvements to main complex and well head platforms to enhance production.\nProvide facilities engineering input for key upgrade projects.\nOptimise sizing of facilities equipment such as control valves, orifice plates, separators, compressors, gas dehydration etc.\nAccelerate digitalization and develop integrated system models, run models to identify optimisation opportunities.\nImplement key upgrades to main process complex and well head platforms including implementation of surface technology.\nDrive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement between teams.\nIdentify growth projects and technologies necessary to grow production in the medium and long term.\nEducation :\nDegree in engineering discipline (chemical, process, mechanical, rotating equipment, electrical or Instrumentation and control)\nExperience and Job Requirements :\nMinimum of 8 years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas industry or a related sector.\nAbility to work beyond engineering discipline pulling on others as required as role is expected to provide technical recommendations across all surface engineering disciplines.\nAbility to manage multiple activities and to quickly respond to changing business priorities and make value and risk-based prioritization decisions. To integrate short-term tactical and long-term strategic activity to deliver business value.\nExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical and operational issues.\nExceptional interpersonal skills and professional behaviours, fostering strong relationships and teamwork across multiple stakeholders. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBi, Teams, and SharePoint.\nFluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate confidently at all organizational levels.\nFluent in written and spoken Hindi, with the ability to communicate confidently at all organizational levels.\nDesirable criteria :\nExperience supporting an offshore processing complex, with experience in optimising, debottlenecking and enhancing surface facilities.\n\nExperience in digitalisation and integrated system modeling.\n\nExperience delivering projects on offshore oil and gas processing facilities.\n\nExperience of well work and well interventions, including stimulation and fracking.\n\nExperience working in international JV’s and complex multicultural environments is preferred.
