Delivering our strategy sustainably is fundamental to achieving our ambition to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner!\nWe’re looking for a new Senior Data Scientist to join our team.\nResponsibilities\nPart of a cross-disciplinary team, working closely with other data scientists, data engineers software engineers, data managers and business partners.\nBuild scalable, re-usable, impactful data science products, usually containing statistical or machine learning algorithms, in collaboration with data engineers and software engineers.\nDeep knowledge of forecasting and optimization methods and algorithms is a must for e.g. industry and production experience with - Linear, Logistic, Lasso, Ridge, GAM and other ML algorithms.\nReasonable understanding of Financial, energy or commodity markets would be essential for performing the role.\nUsing Claude or general GEN AI Tools and understanding how to work with LLMs to deliver analysis or engineer AI products is a must\nCarry out data analyses to yield actionable business insights.\nAdhere to and advocate for data science procedures (e.g. technical design, technical design review, unit testing, monitoring & alerting, checking in code, code review, documentation).\nPresent results to peers and senior management.\nActively contribute to improve developer velocity.\nMentor others.\nQualifications\nEssential\nMSc or PhD degree in a quantitative field.\nHands-on experience (typically 5+ years) designing, planning, prototyping, productionizing, maintaining and documenting reliable and scalable data science products in complex environments.\nApplied knowledge of data science tools and approaches across all data lifecycle stages.\nThorough understanding of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics and machine learning.\nDevelopment experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, Go, Java, C++)\nAdvanced SQL knowledge.\nKnowledge of experimental design and analysis.\nCustomer-centric and pragmatic attitude.
