Involve in planning, directing, designing, coordinating, and administering network systems and subsystems; resolving network operational issues; maintaining computer, network hardware and software; and providing information, direction and/or recommendations to L2/BAU teams.\nThe Sr. Engineer would be responsible for troubleshooting support of networks either on e-mails or calls. They'll need to be able to diagnose and offer repair instructions remotely, as well as in person. The role would require supervising network access for bottlenecks, security threats or problems with connectivity. They might also configure and maintain security devices to ensure the safety of company software, systems and prevent data breach.\nThe incumbent would also be required to participate in corporate initiatives and roll out strategies for areas within his/ her control to enhance the customer satisfaction and other departmental goals. Giving direction and mentoring the direct and indirect reports to enhance performance and benchmark them with the best industry practices will be a crucial deliverable of the role. The role will also require to build balanced working relationship with all the IT support teams and the business to ensure a detailed delivery of key performance indicators.\nThe position also entails travels [less than 10%] and other Operating Entities in case of specific business requirements.\nBelow are some of the key responsibilities which may not be comprehensive in nature.\nResponsibilities:\nThe role involves working with Team Leaders, Assistant Managers and technicians to provide 3rd Line Network support and build/Engineering efforts. The services offered are in co-ordination with other IT disciplines for problem diagnosis and resolution, provision of agreed Management Information and monitoring of Service delivery Group as per agreed division of responsibilities.\n\nPeople Management- Develop co-operation and encouraging behaviours within the team and with those with whom the team has relationships with internally and externally.\n\nOwnership and follow through/resolution of all issues impacting service/Operations.\n\nWork optimally with customers, analysing their needs, problem solving, agreeing/sharing solutions with Onsite counterparts.\n\nResponsible to maintain departmental standards and quality initiatives in all aspects of work.\n\nSetup monitor and maintain the network systems.\n\nWorking as an effective member of the team and developing good working relationships with business and/or IT colleagues.\n\nMaintaining own training and technical knowledge up to date in line with changing IT Infrastructure.\n\nEffectively handling administration, planning, meetings and prioritising own workload.\n\nStrong Management focus with emphasis on call, incident and problem management, relationship management.\n\nImplementation / Design of appropriate metrics and Service Level Management to handle at all levels with the department and individual level.\n\nMaintain a high level of interaction with all internal/External customers/BUs.\n\nNetworking- Achieve by influencing and collaborating across national and functional borders internally.\n\nProactively enforce to the regulatory requirements (India and International as appropriate) and Group standards. Deliver the intended outcome for the Company and its customers.\n\nQualification and Experience:\nGraduate in any field with 8+ years of overall experience.\n\nGood years in handling large and sophisticated IT Operations and relationship management in Remote IT infrastructure management with a tried focus on Incident and Problem management / project management\n\nExperience in handling a Shared Infrastructure Environment\n\nExposure to best practises by working in a MNC culture or large Indian based company maintaining global services to and from parent company locations.\n\nEssential:\nExcellent English verbal / written communication / analytical and presentation skills\n\nHaving ITIL Foundation v3 certification or knowledge\n\nGood understanding of the IT infrastructure components and be able to handle major incidents and priority issues.\n\nAbility to coordinate and work through all teams in IT Operations\n\nFlexible, ‘can-do’ attitude and willing to take ownership.\n\nGood sense of task ownership and task delivery to agreed dates.\n\nAbility to continually learn the changes to the infrastructure and assess impact.\n\nAbility to work under stress and address any departmental ad-hoc activity.\n\nEvent / Incident / Problem & Change Management skills\n\nAnalytical Skills - Management Information / Reporting\n\nCommunication and Interpersonal skills\n\nClient management skills\n\nTask planning and execution skills\n\nKnowledge of automation and scripting\n\nDesirable:\nCisco/Juniper Professional level Certification (CCNP/JNCIP/JNCIS).\n\nFortinet/Juniper SD-WAN knowledge\n\nCertification in one or more ITIL Intermediate modules.
