Working with technical, operations and business partners, you will provide engineering expertise to ensure that the EV charging service is highly available, scalable and secure.\nIn this role You will:\nImprove the reliability, availability, performance and scalability of the bp pulse EV charging network, technology stack and services\nSupport incident response, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities to enhance system resilience\nDesign, develop, maintain and support automation, monitoring and self-healing capabilities to minimise operational effort and service disruption\nSupport the integration and operation of EV chargers, backend services, APIs and cloud infrastructure\nDevelop observability and alerting solutions to track reliability metrics and optimise costs\nMaintain system configurations, access controls and operational governance processes\nAssess operational risks and support safe, controlled deployment of hardware and infrastructure changes\nCollaborate with engineering, operations, product and data teams to improve service reliability and customer experience\nWhat You will need to be successful:\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience\nSolid years of experience across EV charging hardware, firmware, cloud applications, testing and technical support\nStrong expertise in EV charging systems, OCPP, OCPI, networking protocols and solving\nFull-stack development skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Python, Go, SQL and Bash\nHands-on experience with Linux/Unix, CI/CD, cloud security, Checkmarx, Wiz and Claude Code\nStrong capability in root-cause analysis, incident resolution, deployments, monitoring and large-scale system operations\nExperience with Grafana, CloudWatch and Databricks for observability, performance analysis and actionable insights\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\nDesirable criteria:\nProven ability to use AI-assisted tools effectively to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently\nStrong understanding of business and commercial drivers, applying curiosity, technical expertise and customer focus to deliver high-value solutions\nStrong interpersonal and teamwork skills across technical, operations and commercial teams\nWillingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments\nAt bp, we provide the following environment & benefits to you:\nDifferent bonus opportunities based on performance, wide range of cafeteria elements\nLife & health insurance, medical care package\nHybrid working arrangement aligned with team arrangements and business needs\nOpportunity to build up long-term career path and develop your skills with wide range of learning options\nCelebrate in bp’s success.
