In addition to sourcing, this role is responsible for developing supplier relationships, proactively identifying value opportunities and providing professional guidance to the broader team under his/her leadership.\nThis includes demand management, definition of sourcing strategy based on a predefined category framework, source selection, contract negotiation, and contract creation & operationalization via Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).\nThe role contains leadership responsibilities; the Sourcing Manager will manage a team of sourcing leads and sourcing analysts and look after key stakeholder relations and act as point for escalation.\nThe ideal candidate has a strong team leadership background and extensive experience in logistics-related services and commodities, including but not limited to:\nroad transportation,\nrail transportation,\nmarine transportation and vessel services,\nwarehousing,\nfreight forwarding,\nsupply base services,\nother logistics-related services.\nThe candidate should also have strong experience in managing sourcing projects and proven knowledge of the given spend categories and marketplace, coupled with a strong commercial orientation, communication and stakeholder management skills.\nKey Accountabilities\nThe Sourcing Manager will manage a team, responsible for the logistics and related categories for various bp Businesses, besides providing professional direction, coordinating team operations and managing performance, the job holder will also lead more complex end-to-end Sourcing activities as per business request, will handle inclusive of the following activities by self and via the team:\nDemand Management\nCase Management\nCase Progression & Case Performance\nSourcing Strategy\nLeading RFx\nSupplier Selection\nContracting\nContract Operationalization\nAcross all activity sets, it is paramount to ensure that stakeholders are engaged throughout the process and that all requests and Scopes of Work fully meet business requirements.\nValue focused operations management\nDriving and maximizing value for BP across the spend categories and activities managed \nOngoing tracking and reporting of value delivery (eg. savings) \nOperational Excellence by ensuring stable, effective and customer-focused service delivery \nEffective management of the activity triage & workflow with the Business Partners, resource allocation and backup\nConstantly achieving and delivering against the agreed Performance objectives incl. the respective Key Performance Indicators \nEnsuring effective escalation management in line with the agreed operating model \nEnsuring processes are embedded & adhered to consistently in the team \nEnsuring team process and procedure documentation is maintained and updated real-time\nTake an innovative approach and lead continuous process improvement initiatives, working closely with other leaders across the Procurement organization\nDeveloping and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the organisation, customers and external service providers \nComply with BP’s Code of Conduct, taking a professional and disciplined approach to working with suppliers, to ensure transparency, consistency and fairness.
