You’ll lead the implementation of CI/CD using MS Azure DevOps (ADO), handle code repositories, and develop procedures in automation, testing, and release management. Your expertise will help accelerate value realisation for professional and citizen developers across bp, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient Salesforce deployments.\nWhat you will deliver\nArchitect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce using MS Azure DevOps (ADO), and related tools.\n\nAutomate deployment, testing, and release processes for Salesforce applications\n\nHandle and optimise code repositories, branching strategies, and version control for Salesforce projects.\n\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and developer experience.\n\nCollaborate with platform architects, developers, and business teams to ensure guidelines in DevOps, security, and compliance.\n\nBuild and implement robust testing frameworks for Salesforce delivery, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.\n\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and developers within the C4E and wider bp Salesforce community.\n\nFix and resolve issues in deployment, automation, and platform operations.\n\nDrive continuous improvement in DevOps processes, tooling, and developer enablement.\n\nSupport the evolution of C4E products and services, including onboarding, platform tooling, and technical standards.\n\nWhat you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)\nTechnical skills we need from you\nExtensive experience (typically 9+ years) in DevOps engineering, with a focus on automation, CI/CD, and pipeline management.\n\nShown expertise in MS Azure DevOps (ADO), including pipeline design, automation, and integration.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in Git, repository management, and branching/merging strategies.\n\nDeep experience with Salesforce platform delivery, including Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, sandbox management, and metadata deployments.\n\nStrong coding skills in APEX (including CLI), and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).\n\nDemonstrated ability to design and implement testing frameworks for Salesforce delivery (unit, integration, E2E).\n\nExperience with release management, structured deployment processes, and fixing deployment failures.\n\nKnowledge of security guidelines in Salesforce and cloud environments.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.\n\nDesirable skills\nExperience with additional DevOps tools (e.g., Copado Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform).\n\nSalesforce Platform Developer I/II and/or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Associate (AZ-400).\n\nExperience in designing and implementing automation for large-scale, multi-org Salesforce environments.\n\nExposure to citizen developer enablement and coaching.\n\nAbout bp\nOur purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow.
