You will partner closely with product, architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and resilient enterprise solutions.\nWhat you will deliver\nOwn the design and evolution of enterprise technology solutions spanning retail back office, fuel, payments, ERP, and supply chain platforms\n\nOwn system integration strategies across SAP Retail, PDI, and back office ecosystems\n\nDefine enterprise technology standards, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements (security, reliability, performance, compliance)\n\nDrive delivery of sophisticated initiatives through vendor and internal engineering teams, ensuring alignment to architecture and operational standards\n\nPartner with product management, architecture, security, finance, and operations to translate business needs into technology roadmaps\n\nProvide technical and operational leadership for live production platforms, including incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement\n\nMentor and develop enterprise technology resources, including engineers, analysts, and service providers\n\nWhat you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)\nCore experience and qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience\n\nStrong experience leading enterprise technology platforms and integrations within large-scale retail or energy environments\n\nHands-on knowledge of SAP Retail, PDI, or similar retail back office ecosystems\n\nProven ability to operate in complex, multi-vendor environments and influence without direct authority\n\nExcellent stakeholder communication skills, from engineering teams through senior leadership\n\nComfort working through ambiguity, identifying risks, and driving pragmatic solutions\n\nEnterprise technology & integration expertise\nEnterprise integration patterns (APIs, events, batch, file-based integrations)\n\nRetail transaction domains including pricing, inventory, reconciliation, promotions, and fuel workflows\n\nHandling integrations between POS, ERP, finance, payments, loyalty, and fuel systems\n\nData exchange standards including XML, JSON, CSV, and EDI\n\nPlatform, cloud, and operations\nExperience operating enterprise platforms on Microsoft Azure or AWS in partnership with infrastructure teams\n\nStrong understanding of identity, networking, security, monitoring, and availability management\n\nExperience supporting large-scale production systems, incident response, and service management processes\n\nKnowledge of audit, compliance, and control frameworks relevant to enterprise technology environments\n\nSkills that set you apart\nEnterprise attitude with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution\n\nStrong coaching and mentoring capabilities across both technical and functional roles\n\nAbility to translate sophisticated technology topics into clear, business-focused communication\n\nCustomer-focused approach to delivering reliable and scalable enterprise capabilities\n\nAbout bp\nOur purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow.
