The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical design for commercial, residential, tenant, or industrial buildings, along with demonstrated experience participating in client meetings, coordination sessions, and project presentations. This role requires strong technical design skills, familiarity with Ontario Building Code and electrical standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for building systems, including:\nPower distribution\nLighting and lighting controls\nFire alarm and life-safety systems\nEmergency/backup power systems\nCommunications and low-voltage systems (as applicable)\nPrepare technical documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.\nConduct load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and equipment sizing.\nCoordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and other design disciplines.\nParticipate in client meetings, design presentations, and project coordination discussions.\nReview and interpret building codes, standards, and client requirements to ensure compliance.\nProvide support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits as required.\nEnsure design quality, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines.\nCollaborate with project managers and senior engineers to deliver projects efficiently.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum 3 years of experience in building electrical design.\nDiploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.\nExperience working in the GTA and familiarity with local building requirements and utility standards (e.g., Toronto Hydro).\nProficiency in AutoCAD;
