You will play a key role in transforming design concepts into fully coordinated building models and construction documents, working independently on routine tasks while collaborating with engineers and senior staff on complex systems and projects.\n\nYour responsibilities:\nDevelop technical designs and layouts for lighting, power distribution, electrical service rooms, load calculations, fire alarms, and emergency generator systems.\nOwn and maintain high-quality, coordinated electrical 3D models using Revit from concept design through to issued-for-construction packages.\nProduce detailed electrical drawings, plans, single-line diagrams, and full construction document packages using Revit and AutoCAD.\nCoordinate electrical layouts proactively with structural, architectural, and mechanical disciplines to resolve spatial and systemic clashes.\nExecute engineering tasks and drafting activities with minimal supervision, leveraging senior staff for complex system design validation.\nParticipate actively in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and project milestone reviews.\nAssist with BIM coordination, clash detection, and model management activities to maintain project health and standards.\nEnsure strict compliance with project workflows, client requirements, applicable regional codes, and engineering standards.\nManage construction administration tasks, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), participating in site progress meetings, and conducting routine site reviews.\nContribute to diverse project sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, residential, institutional, and data centres.\n\nYour profil:\nEducation: College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related technical discipline.\nExperience: 3 to 6 years of direct, progressive experience designing building electrical systems within a consulting engineering environment.\nSoftware Proficiency: Strong, practical proficiency with Autodesk Revit (3D model production) and AutoCAD workflows in a professional environment.\nTechnical Knowledge: Solid understanding of building electrical systems operating at 750V and below, including equipment selection and circuiting sizing.\nCodes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory codes, specifically:\nOntario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) — current 2024 edition\nOntario Building Code (OBC)\nRelevant CAN/ULC standards (e.g., CAN/ULC-S524 for Fire Alarm installations)\nCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to coordinate across disciplines and interface with project partners.\nAssets\nProfessional Designation: Active registration or clear eligibility for certification as a C.E.T.
