Role\nAs an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of a wide variety of building projects while working closely with senior engineers, project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.\nYou will be involved in all phases of project delivery, from concept development and design through construction support and project completion.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, laboratory, and mixed-use building projects.\nPrepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.\nDevelop HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and building systems designs in accordance with applicable codes and standards.\nPrepare and review construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.\nCoordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, architectural, and other project disciplines.\nParticipate in project meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.\nConduct site investigations, field reviews, and existing-condition assessments.\nSupport construction administration activities and respond to contractor technical inquiries.\nReview shop drawings and equipment submittals.\nContribute to project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination efforts.\nAssist in identifying innovative, sustainable, and energy-efficient design solutions.\nSupport junior team members and contribute to a collaborative project environment.\nTypical Projects\nCommercial office buildings\nHealthcare buildings\nBuilding modernization and retrofit projects\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nProfessional Designation\nRegistered P.Eng. with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligible for registration.\nExperience\nApproximately 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical building systems consulting.\nExperience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for building projects.\nProven ability to independently manage mechanical design tasks and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.\nExperience participating in multiple projects
