The role is primarily focused on the analysis, sizing, and optimization of steel, wood, and concrete structures within a BIM (Revit) environment, for a variety of building projects.\nThe successful candidate will act as a technical reference in design, working closely with other engineers, drafters, and multidisciplinary teams.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and size building structures in reinforced concrete, steel, and wood\nPerform advanced structural analyses using ETABS, SAP2000, and SAFE\nDevelop efficient, economical structural concepts that comply with Canadian standards\nExperience working in existing buildings and retrofit projects.\nEnsure technical coordination of projects with internal (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and external stakeholders (architects, clients, etc.)\nDevelop and validate design assumptions, analytical models, and load cases\nActively participate in preliminary and detailed design phases\nContribute to solving complex structural challenges (renovations, existing constraints, phasing, etc.)\nEnsure the technical quality of deliverables (drawings, calculation notes, specifications)\nCollaborate with the BIM team to ensure structural integration in Revit\nProvide technical support to junior engineers (EITs) and drafters\nOccasionally participate in technical discussions with clients and partners\nAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously\nTechnological Environment\nAnalysis software: ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE\nModeling and coordination: Revit Structure (BIM)\nStandards and codes: CCQ, CSA (A23.3, S16, O86, etc.)\nDesired Profile\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering with a structural focus.
