As part of a multidisciplinary building engineering team, you will contribute to a wide range of projects involving the inspection, assessment, rehabilitation, and modification of concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures.\nYou will be involved in all phases of a project, from assessing existing conditions to designing structural solutions and providing construction support services.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform field surveys, inspections, and structural assessments of existing buildings.\nConduct structural analyses and calculations for concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures.\nDesign strengthening, rehabilitation, and renovation solutions for existing structures.\nParticipate in the preparation of expert reports, technical studies, and asset condition assessments.\nPrepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.\nCoordinate with other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and building envelope teams.\nConduct site visits and provide technical support throughout construction.\nVerify that construction work complies with project drawings, specifications, and client requirements.\nPrepare, sign, and seal engineering documents in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).\nParticipate in client meetings and contribute to the development of long-term professional relationships.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering, with a specialization in Structural Engineering.\nMember in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).\nHolder of a valid engineering seal.\nExperience\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building structural engineering.\nSignificant experience with existing buildings, asset preservation, rehabilitation, or the transformation of existing facilities.\nExperience in structural inspections, expert assessments, or the design of corrective measures is considered a strong asset.\nTechnical Knowledge\nStrong knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and applicable industry standards.\nSolid understanding of concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures.\nKnowledge of asset management principles and building lifecycle management.\nExperience in structural analysis and rehabilitation of existing structures.\nSoftware\nExperience with SAFI, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar structural analysis software (asset).\nAutoCAD.\nStructural analysis and design software.\nMicrosoft Office Suite.\nDesired Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple assignments.\nSound engineering judgment.\nStrong teamwork and
