You will partner with project managers to strengthen the financial management of their projects, anticipate risks, and turn financial data into meaningful insights that support better business decisions.\nThis role goes beyond reporting. You will act as a true financial partner to the business, contributing to discussions around profitability, forecasting, work in progress (WIP), billing, revenue recognition, and overall project performance.\nYou will also join BPA at an exciting time as we continue to evolve our financial processes, project management practices, and systems across the organization.\nYour Daily Impact\nLead the financial oversight of a portfolio of engineering projects throughout their full lifecycle;\nAct as a financial business partner to project managers, providing analysis, guidance, and recommendations to support decision-making;\nLead regular project financial reviews covering WIP, revenue recognition, profitability, forecasts, and project risks;\nAnalyze project budgets, forecasts, and progress to proactively identify trends, variances, and potential issues;\nIdentify projects at financial risk and partner with project managers to develop appropriate action plans;\nConstructively challenge financial assumptions and help project managers strengthen their financial management practices;\nMonitor additional fees, scope changes, change directives, cost overruns, and other factors impacting project profitability;\nPartner closely with billing teams to support accurate and timely invoicing;\nPrepare and analyze KPIs, forecasts, project performance reports, and quarterly management presentations;\nContribute to month-end activities and project-related accounting analysis;\nSupport the continuous improvement of project controls, financial processes, and management tools;\nContribute to the stabilization and optimization of our ERP and project management systems;\nHelp develop best practices and strengthen financial knowledge among project managers across the organization.\nThe Profile We’re Looking For\nYou are analytical and detail-oriented, but more importantly, you enjoy understanding the business, asking the right questions, and positively influencing decisions.\nYou also bring:\nA bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;\nA minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project controls, project accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role;\nExperience in consulting engineering, construction, consulting, or professional services, considered a strong asset;\nA solid understanding of project financial management, including WIP, revenue recognition, profitability analysis, forecasting, and project accounting;\nStrong financial analysis skills and the ability to turn complex financial information into clear, actionable insights;\nThe ability to build trusted relationships with project managers, provide guidance, and constructively challenge assumptions and practices;\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with Finance, Operations, and multidisciplinary teams;\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously;\nA CPA designation, considered an asset;\nFluency in both French and English, written and spoken.*\n*Fluency in English is essential due to the shared-service nature of the
