Candidates will work standard business hours within their respective region/time zone.\nLanguage: English\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the technical implementation of SAP MDG-M (Material/Product) initiatives, including continuous improvement activities and transformation projects.\nProvide technical expertise on the existing SAP MDG landscape and support major transformation programmes.\nOwn and drive MDG solution design and integration architecture across upstream and downstream systems.\nSupport the development of a consistent enterprise-wide view of Product and Material Master Data throughout its lifecycle.\nContribute to improvements across the enterprise data model, SAP MDG templates, integrations, data quality and reporting capabilities.\nPartner with Master Data domain leads, functional experts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.\nAssess business requirements and determine whether they require system enhancements, architectural changes or business process transformation.\nEnsure technical solutions follow agreed architecture and design governance standards.\nCoordinate with internal technical teams and external implementation partners to ensure solutions are delivered according to agreed designs.\nProvide technical leadership across global stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, issues and dependencies to senior stakeholders.\nPotentially coordinate a small number of external contractors.\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Architecture or related areas, ideally within a complex multinational environment.\nStrong hands-on experience designing and implementing SAP Master Data solutions, particularly SAP MDG / MDG-M.\nExperience with relevant SAP technologies such as SAP MDG, HANA, Data Services and related integration solutions.\nStrong understanding of Material/Product Master Data, data models, workflows and governance.\nExperience designing integrations between SAP MDG and upstream/downstream enterprise systems.\nAbility to design and optimise complex business processes, data models and workflows.\nExperience in Solution Architecture and working with complex application landscapes.\nPrevious exposure to large-scale transformation programmes, ideally involving SAP S/4HANA.\nExperience working with global stakeholders, technical teams, functional experts and third-party vendors.\nStrong leadership skills and ability to operate independently within a matrix organisation.\nFMCG / Consumer Products experience and knowledge of Product/Material data would be highly beneficial.\nFluent English.\nNice to Have\nBackground in BI, Data, Information Management or Analytics.\nExperience with application portfolio management.\nExperience leading technical delivery across multiple regions and business units.\nStrong stakeholder management and ability to challenge existing solutions constructively.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3465,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Consumer Goods","Business Intelligence","Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)","System Integration"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T14:16:18Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":32,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/bpx-global-sap-mdg-technical-lead-materialproduct-data","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/bpx-global-sap-mdg-technical-lead-materialproduct-data.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T15:23:52Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
