and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation and loading from enterprise source systems.\nBuild and optimize SQL Server objects (tables, views, stored procedures) that support data pipelines and use cases.\nDevelop data transformation logic for new and changing use case requirements, in line with agreed business rules.\nIntegrate SSIS-based processes with the wider Azure data platform, including data warehouse and Data Lake layers.\n1.2 Pipeline Operations and Support\nMonitor scheduled SSIS jobs, investigate failures and restore data flows, coordinating with source teams where the cause sits with them.\nUpdate packages, mappings and extraction logic when source systems change, so that loads continue without interruption.\nReprocess data when a fix must apply to past loads, and document the root cause and permanent fix.\n1.3 Performance and Data Quality\nTune package performance, load windows and SQL queries for reliability and efficiency.\nApply validation and reconciliation checks so that loaded data is complete and accurate.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify or modernize legacy SSIS processes.\n1.4 Governance, Documentation and Collaboration\nWork through ticket-based change control on Azure DevOps, recording requirements, decisions and outcomes on each ticket.\nMaintain clear documentation of packages, data flows, mappings and changes.\nCollaborate with data engineers, Databricks specialists, BI analysts and business stakeholders in sprint-based delivery.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n2.1 Technical Skills\n5+ years of data engineering experience, with strong hands-on SSIS development in production environments.\nAdvanced SQL Server and T-SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).\nExperience in data warehouse integration, dimensional modelling and ETL/ELT design patterns.\nExperience extracting data from enterprise sources (e.g. ERP, CRM, flat files and APIs).\nWorking knowledge of the Azure data platform (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL).\nFamiliarity with Git-based source control and SQL Server Agent or equivalent scheduling.\n2.2 Professional Competencies\nStrong ownership of production stability alongside new development work.\nMethodical troubleshooting across source systems, packages and target layers.\nClear communicator who can explain data issues and logic to business and technical stakeholders.\nStructured working style with disciplined documentation and change-control habits.\nAble to work effectively with remote, international stakeholders and multiple dependent teams.\n3.0 Preferred Qualifications\nExposure to Azure Databricks, Spark or migrating SSIS workloads to cloud-native pipelines.\nExperience with SAP, Oracle or Siebel source systems.\nExperience in the automotive, manufacturing or logistics sector.\nMicrosoft certifications (e.g. DP-203, DP-900 or Azure Database Administrator).\nInterview
