Our culture fosters a work environment where employees can thrive, be passionate and have fun along the way. Each member of the Bracco Medical Technologies team has the power to make a difference......everyday!\nCompany Overview\nAt Bracco Medical Technologies, every employee has an impact on our Mission to empower lifesaving decisions. We create medical devices that give healthcare providers the insights they need to confidently and safely diagnose patients. Our unique line of products includes Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), Cardiovascular Imaging contrast delivery (CVi), and CT and MRI contrast delivery systems. As part of the Bracco Group, Bracco Medical Technologies benefits from the resources of a multinational conglomerate with broad expertise in cath lab and radiology suite technology and a dedication to continuous advancement.\nWe are currently seeking intern/co-op candidates to learn with us as they engage in a variety of hands-on projects alongside our high-performing and authentic R&D team.\nPosition Summary\nWant to spend your internship building real software for real products-not just working on a side project that disappears when the summer ends? We're looking for people who like building things, enjoy figuring out how things work, aren't afraid to ask questions, and want to become better software engineers.\nBracco Medical Technologies (BMT) is looking for three Software Engineering Interns to join our software development team. You'll be matched with a project based on your skills, interests, and the technologies you want to explore, working in either our Injector (device) or Digital Health focus areas.\nYou'll work alongside experienced software engineers and contribute to software that supports medical technology used in the real world. Depending on your project, you could be writing production code, building features, solving bugs, debugging systems, creating automated tests, improving user experiences, or developing tools that make our products better.\nThis isn't just about watching how software gets built. You'll be part of the team building it. Along the way, you'll experience the software development lifecycle firsthand-from designing and coding to testing, documentation, code reviews, and getting software ready for release.\nInjector (device)\nWant to write software that interacts with an actual physical device?\nOur Injector team develops software for our medical devices and the infrastructure that supports them. You'll have the opportunity to work on software where code meets hardware-building and improving features that users can actually see and interact with.\nPrimary technologies: C# / WPF\nDigital Health\nInterested in connected products, servers, and modern software platforms?\nOur Digital Health team develops server-based solutions that connect our products and help information move securely between systems. You'll get exposure to the software and services behind connected medical technology.\nPrimary technologies: C# / TypeScript\nTraining to be Provided\nWe don't expect you to arrive knowing how to build medical-device software. That's part of what you'll learn here.\nYou'll work with engineers and other teams across BMT to see how software goes from an idea to a product used in the real world. You'll learn what it means to develop software in a regulated industry where quality, reliability, cybersecurity, testing, and good engineering practices actually matter.\nTraining may include medical-device development processes, BMT products and technologies, software development practices, testing, documentation, and the tools our engineering teams use every day.\nYou'll also have opportunities to grow beyond your technical project. Our interns and co-ops participate in a buddy program, career-development activities, networking opportunities, and events with BMT professionals -both virtually and in person.\nOur goal is simple: you should leave the internship a significantly better software engineer than when you started.\nQualifications\nRequired\nYou don't need to know everything already. We're looking for students who have a solid foundation, enjoy solving problems, and are excited to learn.\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field\n\nExperience with object-oriented programming using C#, Java, and/or C++\n\nBasic experience with Python\n\nFamiliarity with source-control tools such as Git\n\nBasic debugging and troubleshooting skills\n\nCuriosity, initiative, and a willingness to dig into problems you haven't seen before\n\nPreferred\nIf you've had exposure to any of the following, even better:\nGUI or application development\n\nSoftware development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum\n\nContinuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and concepts\n\nSoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts\n\nPersonal, class, hackathon, open-source, or other software projects you're excited to talk about\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\n\nTechnical writing and presentation experience\n\nJob Location\nEden Prairie, MN (no relocation or housing assistance available).\n\nTerm/Hours\nJanuary or May start date\n\nHours: 40 hours per week\n\nTo learn more about Bracco Medical Technologies, please visit our website at: https://careers.braccomedtech.com.\nBracco Medical Technologies is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.\nCompensation & Total Rewards:\nEstimated Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00/hour\n*Estimated Starting Pay Range is reflective of the range Bracco Medical Technologies reasonably expects to pay for the position.
