We’ve brought to market a robot that is 10x lower cost than any other robot in its category, while out performing them on manipulation, autonomous navigation, speech interaction, and developer UX.\nWe’re backed by Fifty Years (Scott Phoenix), BoxGroup, SV Angel, Betaworks, Pace Capital, angels including Nat Friedman, Logan Kilpatrick (Google AI), Guillermo Rauch (Vercel) and others from Tesla AI, Physical Intelligence, and Markforged.\nAbout the role\nA robot needs to work where it is deployed, across unfamiliar environments and the practical constraints that appear outside the lab.\nWe’re hiring a Robotics Software Engineer - International Deployments to bring our robots into real-world use and turn field experience into better software. You’ll work across integration, navigation, perception, debugging, and deployment tooling.\nThe role is based onsite in San Francisco and includes international deployment work. You’ll work with the engineering team and the people using our robots to diagnose problems, ship fixes, and make each deployment more repeatable.\nWhat you’ll do\nPrepare, configure, test, and deploy robot software for real-world environments.\n\nDebug navigation, perception, sensor integration, and system behavior on physical robots.\n\nWork directly with users and deployment partners to understand problems and reproduce failures.\n\nTurn field findings into software fixes, tests, documentation, and improved deployment tools.\n\nCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and machine learning engineers on issues that cross system boundaries.\n\nHelp make setup, diagnostics, and support more reliable across international deployments.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nStrong robotics software engineering fundamentals.\n\nExperience integrating and debugging software on physical robots.\n\nAbility to investigate unfamiliar systems, identify root causes, and deliver practical fixes.\n\nClear communication with engineers and the people operating the robot.\n\nComfort with hands-on field work, changing conditions, and international deployment work.\n\nNice to have\nExperience with SLAM, localization, navigation, perception, or sensor fusion.\n\nExperience with ROS or custom robotics stacks.\n\nExperience deploying or supporting robotics systems outside a lab.\n\nExperience building diagnostics, logging, remote support, or deployment tools.\n\nImportant notes\nThis role combines software engineering with hands-on deployment work.\n\nSan Francisco is the home base; international deployments are part of the role.\n\nWe value sound judgment, reliable systems, and follow-through when problems reach the field.\n\nBracket Bot is an equal opportunity employer.
