The role supports manufacturing and sales through practical engineering solutions, technical expertise, and direct customer engagement.\nReporting to the Engineering Team Lead, this position plays a key role in strengthening Bradken’s mill liner and mineral processing offering by combining detailed design capability with site-based performance insights. The role partners closely with Sales, Manufacturing, and customers to ensure products are safe, reliable, and aligned to operational requirements.\nWhat the role involves\nDesign & Engineering\nDesign and engineer new products and modify existing products to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability\nComplete solid modelling, detailed drafting, and engineering analysis/simulation\nConduct reverse engineering and site-based measurements to inform design improvements\nCoordinate new and optimised products through engineering and manufacturing processes\nPrepare technical documentation to support manufacturing, installation, and product use\nCheck drawings to ensure compliance with engineering standards and requirements\nControl and issue technical documentation for manufacturing and sales\nSupport the protection and appropriate release of Bradken intellectual property\nTechnical & Customer Support\nProvide front-line technical and design support to internal teams and external customers\nAttend customer sites to capture requirements, conduct inspections, and support product installation and performance reviews\nAssist the Sales team with technical input for proposals, troubleshooting, and customer discussions\nCollect field data and translate operational feedback into practical design enhancements\nKnowledge & Continuous Improvement\nMaintain current knowledge of Bradken’s Mineral Processing product portfolio and industry developments\nDevelop and deliver product and design knowledge training for internal stakeholders\nParticipate in process improvements and adherence to quality, safety, and manufacturing standards\nContribute to document control, auditing, and engineering best practices\nMentor and coach junior engineers as required\nWork Planning & Support\nComply with company requirements and safe work practices\nSupport manufacturing and sales with design transitions and superseded part changeovers\nAssist with equipment quotations and capital expenditure submissions where required\nQualifications, Experience & Capabilities\nQualifications\nTertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)\nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering considered advantageous\nExperience\nExperience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy manufacturing environments\nProven experience in product design, engineering analysis, and technical problem solving\nExperience providing technical support to customers or site-based operations\nStructural calculation experience desirable.\nTeamcenter PLM experience desirable.\n3D scanning and processing software experience desirable.\nSkills\nStrong CAD and modelling capability\nPractical, hands-on engineering mindset with attention to detail\nAbility to translate field data into design improvements\nClear technical communication and cross-functional collaboration\nOrganised documentation and standards compliance.\nThis role requires fluency in English and Bahasa.\nThis role is based in Xuzhou, China..\nAt Bradken, you’ll join a team that values curiosity, accountability, and collaboration where your insights will shape business strategy and your leadership will enable financial success across global operations.\nBe challenged.
