# Deduction Analyst

The Deduction Analyst is responsible for reviewing, researching, and resolving customer shortage and overage deduction claims in a timely and accurate manner. This role partners closely with Customer Service, Operations, Accounting, and other internal departments to gather supporting documentation, validate claims, identify root causes, and support corrective actions. The Deduction Analyst I maintains detailed claim records, updates the Deduction Management System, prepares weekly findings for management, and provides monthly summaries and trend analysis to help reduce recurring chargebacks and improve process accuracy. Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm Responsibilities Review current shortage/overage claims for every customer. Coordinate with customer service, operations and other departments to process shortage/overage claims accordingly. Providing customer service with the information (item, qty and price) needed to issue credit for valid shortage deductions in a timely manner. Work with Operations and other departments on root cause analysis of shortages/overage chargebacks including resolution implementation. Maintain a log of shortage/overage claims for a
