This role involves extensive communication with the sales, engineering, suppliers, sub contractors, scheduling, safety and construction teams to develop plans, and mitigate risks against schedule, budget, safety and quality of the overall project. The Preconstruction Project Manager’s primary objective is to ensure construction projects are properly planned and coordinated from the early phases of design with a smooth transition into construction.\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:\nLead the preconstruction effort for assigned projects from concept through final proposal. Coordinate the internal teams that contribute, including design, estimating, safety, and equipment sales, so each deliverable is completed on time and fits the project goals. Own the integrated delivery plan, schedule, budget, and final proposal.\nParticipate as a key contributor and knowledge base for the overall design constructability and sequencing plan\nDrive collaboration between various stakeholders\nKnow Client Expectations and Manage Client Interface\nLead planning efforts including strategy development, and execution with design, procurement and construction management teams to ensure efficient and timely flow of information\nConduct constructability reviews during all phases of design to include the appropriate construction and trade resources for synchronized reviews.\nSupport estimate and schedule development and recommend opportunities for optimization based on previous experience, and value driven solutions\nDevelop subcontracting and procurement strategies in collaboration with the construction management and procurement teams\nSupport the development of 3-D visualizations\nDevelop thorough site logistics plans including utility, offsite or other requirements\nCoordinate with internal safety, quality, project services and technical services groups to ensure a comprehensive preconstruction planning process\nWork to build a cooperative partnership between the client, contractor and all stakeholders to ensure a timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.\n SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:\n5+ years experience in managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities\nExperience with 3D Modelling software preferred\nField Construction Experience on active construction projects\nEffective communication and leadership skills\nExperience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing\nAbility and willingness to travel to support project and client needs during planning, design, procurement and early construction phases. Travel requirements will vary based on project needs and may be up to 50% of working time, including extended periods at client sites, construction sites, fabrication facilities and project offices throughout North Carolina. Travel frequency may fluctuate based on project lifecycle and business needs.\nAbility to work effectively in a hybrid environment while supporting project teams and stakeholders located across multiple Brady offices: Greensboro, Morrisville and Wilmington.
