Our customers include globally renowned utilities, independent power producers, renewable asset developers, energy and multi-commodity trading firms, oil & gas companies, hedge funds and other financial institutions, as well as state power grid operators.\nThe Senior QA & Automation Engineer will be responsible for performing Quality Assurance and Test activities. This will involve developing and executing manual and automated tests across our product suite, which includes desktop and web applications. You will be an effective communicator who is comfortable discussing issues / ideas within the business and on site with clients. You are an enthusiastic tester whose drive is continuous improvement and a focus on helping the team deliver quality products.\nThis is a great opportunity to further develop your QA career at a company with strong growth ambitions in a dynamic and future-looking industry.\nKey Accountabilities:\nLiaise with internal teams (Product Management, Analysts etc) to understand requirements and develop testable Acceptance Criteria\nLiaise with clients, as required, to understand and develop testable Acceptance Criteria\nProvide Test estimates to support bid pricing, project costing and task planning.\nDesign, develop and execute automated tests using approved tools and frameworks.\nDerive and design test cases following approved development testing standards and guidelines.\nDesign, develop and execute functional and non-functional tests (automated and manual as required)\nPeer review QA and Test teamwork\nPrioritise workload to meet agreed commitments.\nEnsure approved development procedures are followed across the SDLC.\nCapture, record, and document bugs allowing Development teams to readily reproduce issues.\nProvide timely feedback to Line Management as required.\nTechnical skills:\nDemonstrate Playwright and Cypress skills\nDemonstrable Software testing experience across full SDLC\nAbility to develop clear, concise, test plans and cases that will form part of a Brady repository and perform manual and automated tests across desktop and web applications.\nAbility to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents. \nExperienced in developing SQL scripts.\nExperience of Continuous Integration\nExperience in release preparation - preparing checklists, release documentation and release communication.\nKnowledge of database architecture\nAPI testing, Load and Performance testing\nAgile / Scrum experience\nFinancial Markets knowledge\nOther skills:\nfrom 10 to 15 years of relevant experience\nA good first numerate degree in either engineering, maths, or science industry experience in product testing.\nBe a team player, supporting and encouraging team collaboration and a mindset for Continuous Improvement\nBe a passionate learner, willing to undertake training with a willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues\nExcellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise your own workload\nCommitment to quality and a thorough approach to work\nFlexible attitude, an ability to adapt to changing requirements and to perform effectively under pressure \nDemonstrable ability and passion to mentor, teach and coach individuals with a goal of building awareness, responsibility and self-belief.\nWhat Brady offers:\nGreat compensation + 5% bonus + private health insurance!\n24 days' holiday + bank holidays\n1/2 day off Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve\nFlexible working hours\nAn opportunity to build a modern technology platform for the power and energy trading markets\nA positive, values-driven culture\nIf you need any reasonable adjustments for any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know.\n*Brady collects and processes personal data relating to its applicants to manage the recruitment process.
