You will work with a growing team of talented engineers using modern tools and processes to rapidly deliver software to the cloud. Within the team, you will lead development efforts on features and functionality to enhance our capability to communicate with robots as well as enhance our fleet management capabilities.\nEssential Job Functions:\nDevelop, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nCollaborate with the data engineering team to design and implement efficient data pipelines, ensuring high data quality and integrity.\nDevelop APIs and services to facilitate seamless integration between the cloud platform and various web and robotic applications.\nWork closely with the web and robotic application teams to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and support.\nParticipate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing, to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of the cloud platform.\nMonitor and optimize the performance and reliability of the cloud platform, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks.\nStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.\nAssist in other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements: \nBachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.\n2+ years of Software Engineering experience.\nExperience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics: \nFamiliar with programming languages such as Go, Python, and TypeScript, with a demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code and using version control systems like git.\nFamiliarity of cloud infrastructure and related technologies (compute, storage, networking, etc.) on GCP.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or similar technologies.\nFamiliar with designing and implementing scalable data engineering workflows and data pipelines.\nFamiliar with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.\nUnderstanding of RESTful APIs and the ability to design and develop them.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nA passion for robotics, automation and technology.\nAbility to multitask and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.\nThings that make a difference:\nMS in computer science, software engineering or a related field.\nExperience with robotic software development or working with robotics-related technologies.\nFamiliar with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).\nKnowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka).\nFamiliarity of Agile methodologies.\nKnowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
