Our employees are incredibly passionate about the jobs they do – you will find a strong team spirit across our services and amazing colleagues who always pull together and look out for each other.\n\nMAIN PURPOSE: \nTo work alongside the units full time chef to ensure the weekend menus remain well balanced and nutritious and take into account dietary requirments.\nTo follow any dietary or food preparation guidelines as provided in service user care plans and guidance by health care professionals \nTo ensure that the storage, preparation and cooking of all food is carried out using the highest standards of hygiene \nEnsure high standards of food management within current Food Hygiene regulations and policies and procedures \nTo use electrical and mechanical catering equipment as appropriate \nTo ensure the maintenance and security of catering equipment notifying your supervisor and appropriate people and agencies regarding repair and replacement as appropriate \nTo be responsible for the storage and use of cleaning items in accordance with COSHH \nTo contribute to other food related functions as required by the service \nEstablish and maintain professional working relationships with the service users, contributing to the creation of a homely and pleasant living environment for each service user \nDuring the course of your work you will at all times conduct yourself in a professional manner acting as a role model to colleagues and service users contributing to the delivery of quality services.
