Your work will support high-volume message processing, where performance, scalability, and resilience are central requirements.\nKey responsibilities\nDevelop, test, and deploy backend components using C#, .NET 10, and Azure Function Apps.\n\nBuild and maintain APIs, integration flows, and data pipelines connecting enterprise systems.\n\nImplement reliable message processing with attention to throughput, latency, scalability, and fault tolerance.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable code and unit tests, and participate in code reviews.\n\nCollaborate with the Belgium-based Lead Software Engineer and colleagues across the distributed team.\n\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and deliver agreed work toward sprint objectives.\n\nCommunicate progress, technical risks, and blockers early.\n\nRequirements\nExperience level\n5+ years of relevant professional experience in C#/.NET backend development, combined with hands-on experience building and maintaining Azure Functions.\nYou can independently implement technical specifications and deliver reliable backend components and enterprise integrations within a distributed team.\nCore skills\nBackend Engineering\nStrong hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET.\n\nExperience building and maintaining REST APIs and backend integration components.\n\nAbility to translate technical specifications into clean, maintainable implementations.\n\nAzure & Integration\nPractical experience building and maintaining Azure Functions.\n\nExperience with cloud-native backend development.\n\nExperience implementing integration flows and data pipelines between enterprise systems.\n\nUnderstanding of event-driven integration and message processing.\n\nPerformance & Reliability\nExperience addressing latency, throughput, and scalability requirements.\n\nUnderstanding of resilient processing and reliable error handling in distributed systems.\n\nTesting & Quality\nExperience writing unit tests and participating in code reviews.\n\nA disciplined approach to code quality and implementation within an established architecture.\n\nAgile Delivery\nExperience working in an Agile team.\n\nAbility to coordinate your work with colleagues across locations and communicate dependencies or blockers.\n\nNice-to-have skills\nMessaging\nApache Kafka or Confluent Kafka.\n\nEnterprise Systems\nExperience integrating with SAP, Microsoft Dataverse, or Microsoft Dynamics endpoints.\n\nCertifications\nRelevant Microsoft Azure or .NET certifications.\n\nWhat you bring\nExcellent spoken and written English.\n\nOwnership of your work and delivery commitments.\n\nThe ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a distributed team.\n\nA practical approach to breaking down technical problems and implementing structured solutions.\n\nClear, timely communication of progress, risks, and blockers.\n\nWillingness to learn and apply feedback from technical leads and code reviews.\n\nReady to apply?\nReady to build reliable integrations with .NET and Azure?
