Our headquarters are located in Columbus, Ohio, where we come together from time to time to build relationships and connect with each other in real life. We also have office space in Columbia and Concordia, Missouri as well as Forreston, Illinois. Once a year, the entire company gathers for “BranchFest”, a highlight of the year for many Branchers.\nAbout the Role\nAs Insurance Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll own Branch’s statutory financial reporting, from the quarterly and annual NAIC filings through the statutory audit. You’ll bring every part of the annual statement together, and you’ll be the person who can explain what it shows. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports.\nYou will collaborate across the Finance, Compliance, Legal and Insurance teams, and work closely with actuarial and reinsurance, to ensure data is reliable, audit-ready, and aligned with industry regulations. Your work will help Branch leadership understand performance outcomes and support the continued evolution of our finance operations as we scale.\nKey Responsibilities\nDirect the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements, including quarterly and annual NAIC filings, RBC analysis, and NAIC RBC forecasting tools.\n\nOwn the annual statement end to end, including the statement pages and Schedules B, D, F and P, coordinating each schedule with the accounting, actuarial and reinsurance teams.\n\nPrepare the other statutory returns Branch files beyond the annual statement.\n\nLead the annual statutory audit, including owning the PBC list and coordinating the information needed from other departments.\n\nAnalyze month-over-month changes in financial outcomes and provide clear reporting to enable leadership understanding, with support from actuarial and reinsurance teams.\n\nParticipate in the monthly close.\n\nDocument and maintain financial processes to support efficient and accurate reporting.\n\nWork with the Data Office to help identify and define required controls and data availability needed for accurate financial reporting.\n\nSupport the development of audit-ready documentation for key financial processes and controls.\n\nDevelop an internal control testing framework that supports a growing audit function of the future.\n\nSupport the review and documentation of cash handling processes and reconciliation procedures.\n\nCollaborate with Insurance and Compliance teams on data or regulatory requests related to state expansion or reporting needs.\n\nContribute to special projects that help improve financial transparency, data readiness, or compliance across the organization.\n\nSkills & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA a plus.\n\n3-5 years of experience in property & casualty insurance finance or accounting, with statutory reporting at the core of that experience. GAAP experience is a plus.\n\nOwnership of quarterly and annual statutory statement filings, with hands-on experience across every part of the annual statement.\n\nThe ability to read Schedule P across years of development and explain what it shows.\n\nExperience leading or coordinating a statutory audit, including the PBC process.\n\nStrong working knowledge of statutory financial reporting, controls, and insurance accounting.\n\nProficiency in interpreting financial outcomes and turning data into actionable reporting.\n\nExperience with a holding company structure and consolidation up to a parent is a plus.\n\nComfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\n\nStrong communication skills and a desire to contribute to team growth and shared knowledge.\n\nWhy join us at Branch?\nWe’re all about getting back to getting each other’s back - that means Branchers, too.
