Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.\nResponsibilities\nAssist engineers in the research, design, development, testing, manufacturing, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment specific to configuration end items with defined structural definition\nProvide research and engineering investigation services/prototype builds for integration of replacement COTS components that sustain life cycle performance and add technological capability to the current product\nBuild up the assemblies of the system components using all meaning of interconnect technologies to insert into the next higher assembly\nSupport the maintenance and update of the technical drawings, schematics, and documentation required for production, testing, and operational use and maintenance\nConduct qualitative testing of all system equipment and components using a variety of specialized measuring and test devices. \nEnsure the proper installation and functioning of components and systems as each assembly is built and connected to the next higher sys-assembly\nWork within a team setting to meet build schedules in support of deploying systems\nPerform depot level maintenance and repair of equipment and field service support as needed\nCollect and analyze data to confirm that the equipment meets design specifications and safety standards\nQualifications\nCleared at the DoD Secret level\n3 - 7 years’ experience in a position(s) conducting the electrical technician skills defined above\n2 years of recent engineering support experience\nDirect experience in soldering and building common connection types for interconnects of electronic components\nDirect experience with electronic systems test equipment\nDesired Additional Experience/Qualifications\nFormer Aviation Technical or Ships Electronics technician\nRadio Frequency/Electronic Warfare system sustainment/maintenance\nProficient in system simulation and modeling tools, including MATLAB and RF signal analysis tools\nAbility to lead classified and sensitive military programs\nDemonstrated leadership in risk assessment, problem resolution, and optimizing mission-critical systems\nEDUCATION\nDegree: AA or Technical certificate in electronics, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical discipline.\nALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 2 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for an AA degree.\nSECURITY CLEARANCE - DoD SECRET\nCondition of Employment: Applicant must hold an active DoD SECRET clearance.
