Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.\nResponsibilities\nFunctional Description:\nProduct Analysis and Design\nProvide support for the analysis, recommendation, design and prototype of future software, system components, and digital products and data systems for use with current and emerging technologies\nTechnical Documentation\nProvide technical documentation support for the development and management of technical documentation.\nProduct / Software Development Support\nDevelop complex microservices-based systems using Java Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance\nWrite high-performance, production-ready code in Java, and TypeScript that meets security and performance requirements\nDevelop responsive front-end applications using ReactJS/Redux, NPM, and Material UI with a focus on performance and reusability\nImplement RESTful web services and APIs following industry best practices and Governance for authentication, error handling, and documentation\nUtilize WebSockets for real-time communication in collaborative applications and dashboards\nConfigure and manage message queuing systems like RabbitMQ (AMQP) for asynchronous processing and system integration\nLeverage Java ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate for efficient database operations and entity management\nImplement automated testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure system quality\nManage version control workflows in Git, implementing branching strategies and ensuring proper code management\nTroubleshoot complex Kubernetes deployment issues across the full stack, from front-end to database\nPerform code reviews on Pull Requests and technical mentoring for junior developers, focusing on best practices and clean code principles\nCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation in Confluence for system architecture and code standards\nManage project tasking and user stories in JIRA, maintaining transparency on progress and impediments\nParticipate in our Agile ceremonies including the SAFe Program Increment planning meetings to align team objectives with organizational goals\nContribute to architectural decision records documenting system design choices and technical direction\n\nTravel: Approximately 10 weeks of travel could be required (San Diego Ca, Norfolk Va, Pax River Md, Melbourne Fl, Japan, and France).\nQualifications\nBetween 3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description\n3+ years of experience in software development with emphasis on full-stack solutions\n3+ years' experience with CI/CD pipelines in an agile DevOps environment\n3+ years' experience with .net, C#, JavaScript, containers, and microservices architecture\n3+ years' experience with SQL and database design\n2+ years' experience with HTML and CSS\n2+ years' experience with Git version control\nDemonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes\nProficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent tools\nExperience working in Agile environments and as a Scrum team member\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for all levels of interaction\nAbility to work independently and take initiative\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)\n Desired experience:\nExperience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)\nAMQP (RabbitMQ) implementation experience\nAdvanced Java ORM experience (Hibernate)\nSpring Boot or Java EE development expertise\nRESTful web services design and implementation\nSingle Page Application (SPA) development with ReactJS/Redux\nWebSockets implementation for real-time applications\nEDUCATION\nDegree: BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline\nAllowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree\nCLEARANCE\nTop Secret Security Clearance\nCondition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
