This role involves analyzing production data, assisting with preventative maintenance initiatives, supporting process improvements, and developing technical documentation. The Intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, implement Lean manufacturing principles, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with BRC's Health & Safety policies and procedures.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in the analysis of current maintenance or production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency of production machinery.\nGather and analyze data related to production rates, cycle times, material flow, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).\nAssist with preventative maintenance initiatives.\nSupport the development and implementation of improved facility layouts to optimize material flow and space utilization.\nAssist in evaluating workplace design and processes for ergonomic considerations and adherence to safety standards.\nLearn and apply maintenance software or other modeling techniques to analyze and predict system performance.\nAssist in the creation and maintenance of process documentation, work instructions, and performance reports.\nParticipate in problem-solving activities to identify root causes of inefficiencies and propose potential solutions.\nWork collaboratively with teams from production, quality, maintenance, and other departments.\nLearn and apply Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping) to identify and eliminate waste.\nDevelop proficiency in relevant software applications, such as CAD, simulation software, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software).\nRequirements\nRequirements\nTo be able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
