The work calls for technical depth, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to supporting products throughout their lifecycle.\nAs Manufacturing Engineer, you will help support product solutions from inception through production, contributing to both new development and the refinement of existing products and processes. You will work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and other cross-functional partners to help ensure product designs are manufacturable, efficient, and aligned with engineering, industry, and safety standards.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the manufacturing cycle for office furniture products from inception through production.\nProcess standard, special, repeat, and custom orders; verify order details and quantities against acknowledgements and purchase orders; and prepare drawings for customer sign-off and Project Matrix support.\nCreate custom hardware and installation drawings, CNC programs, and Excel and Smartsheet templates.\nManage material optimization, refine product designs and manufacturing processes, and identify continuous-improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and performance.\nCollaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and cross-disciplinary teams to resolve product issues and transition new products into regular production.\nDevelop virtual models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and related software; support prototype and pre-production fabrication; interpret testing requirements and conduct preliminary compliance testing, including BIFMA standards.\nProduce technical documentation such as assembly and part drawings, manuals, and specification sheets.\nDevelop improved processes and tools while remaining current on industry trends, materials, technologies, engineering practices, environmental issues, and sustainable design principles.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nDegree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.\n5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, manufacturing environment, or manufacturing processes.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience with 2020 SolidWorks, including strong 3D modelling and detailed design skills.\nGood project and time management skills, with experience handling multiple projects and priorities.\nExperience with custom manufacturing work.\nExperience creating, reading, and interpreting complex drawings.\nExperience working with internal teams such as Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain.\nExperience with customer-facing coordination, including reviewing order details, sign-off drawings, and project support.\nExperience with Inventor or other modelling software is a plus.\nExperience with CNC programming, including knowledge of multiple CNC formats, is preferred.\nExperience in office furniture manufacturing or closely related areas such as millwork, cabinetry, fixtures, or other custom product manufacturing is an asset.\nEligible to work in Canada.\nWorking Conditions\nAble to occasionally lift moderately heavy objects and use hand tools for prototyping or building.\nAvailable to work overtime as required.\nBenefits\nBenefits\nInspiring team committed to a diverse, inclusive, and safe workspace.\nOpportunities for growth and advancement\nVarious social and recreational activities\nFlexible, hybrid schedule offering work from home and in-office options\nBRC is one incredible Team, delivering on the ultimate in Customer experience.
