It serves as the manufacturing and quality control center for our broad portfolio of fermentation products.\nDescription of Job:\nAs a Production Operator you will operate production equipment in a fermentation process which will include media preparation, fermenters, sterilizers, centrifuges, thin film evaporators, separators, and filtration equipment. In doing so, you will comply with all policies and procedures and perform all tasks assigned in a safe manner. You will be accountable to meet quality and production expectations.\nAvailable Shift:\n3rd Shift - Hours 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM Sunday - Thursday Nights\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport and comply with all safety and environmental training policies and programs.\nEffectively operate all current and future equipment / job functions in the area assigned.\nAdjust equipment with assistance from Production Specialist/ Production Engineer to achieve highest process capabilities.\nUse computerized operator interface to monitor and make adjustments to critical equipment.\nWork at varying elevations.\nPerform minor equipment maintenance (Preventative maintenance, monitoring for leaks, etc.).\nKeep a neat and clean work environment.\nComplete required documentation. \nClean, sterilize and operate fermenters and filtration equipment.\nPerform in-process testing.\nManually operate valves etc.\nRequired to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., open and close valves, stand and sit.\nMay be assigned to Emergency Response Team.\nFollow VBC ISO9001 quality standards.\nMust be able to work in extreme temperatures. \nPerform processes wearing a full-face respirator.\nPreferred Qualifications and Education:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nPrefer a 2-year technical degree or related experience.\nMust be able to use computerized interfaces.\nMust be able to obtain an industrial truck license (require valid driver’s license).\nWhat We Offer:\nWe recognize that compensation and benefits play a crucial role in your career decisions.
