Planner\nRole & Responsibilities\nEnsure all activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, quality and environmental management systems as well as corporate and local policies;\nPerforms role in a manner that is reflective of Brenntag’s Core Values, within regulatory requirements and company policies, programs and expectations;\nPlan, coordinate, and optimize multi-modal transportation activities across road, rail, intermodal, and courier networks to ensure efficient, reliable, and on-time delivery.\nMonitor carrier performance and collaborate with transportation providers to resolve service issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nManage relationships with rail carriers, sites, and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable service, shipment visibility, and operational efficiency.\nMonitor railcar cycle times, fleet utilization, and shipment visibility to support service performance and asset productivity.\nManage and minimize rail-related accessorial costs, including demurrage, detention, storage, and switching charges.\nProactively resolve rail transportation issues, including service disruptions, shipment exceptions, and accessorial charges.\nReview and validate transportation costs across all modes, investigate billing discrepancies, and support freight spend management.\nSupport transportation financial activities, including accruals, cost recovery, reporting, and spend analysis.\nMaintain transportation master data, carrier information, rates, and system controls to support operational accuracy and efficiency.\nSupport system users, process enhancements, data integrity, and transportation compliance requirements.\nDevelop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to measure transportation performance and support business decision-making.\nSupport transportation operations, projects, and process improvement initiatives to enhance service, increase efficiency, and reduce transportation costs.\nEducation & Experience\nPost-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.\n2-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, rail operations, dispatch, or related operational functions\nPrevious exposure to compliance systems, such as Salesforce, would be beneficial\nExperience in multi-modal transportation operations, freight auditing, and transportation-related financial processes.\nProficiency with SAP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.\n\nSkills & Competencies\nKnowledge of freight rating, transportation contracts, tariffs, invoicing, and transportation compliance requirements.\nDemonstrates initiative, accountability, and a proactive approach to managing priorities and resolving issues.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.\nHighly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and manage
