This position requires a safety-focused individual who can work independently after training, maintain high attention to detail, and contribute to a positive team environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafety & Compliance\nDemonstrate a strong commitment to personal safety and the safety of coworkers at all times.\n\nFollow all Brenntag safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.\n\nProperly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\n\nParticipate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, inspections, and incident investigations as required.\n\nMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.\n\nOperations & Production\nSafely mix, blend, package, and handle chemical products according to established procedures and specifications.\n\nAccurately complete production documentation and quality control checks.\n\nMonitor product quality and promptly report any discrepancies or concerns.\n\nOperate equipment in a safe and efficient manner while following all operating procedures.\n\nMaintain attention to detail to ensure product accuracy and customer satisfaction.\n\nMaterial Handling\nSafely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.\n\nLoad and unload trucks and process incoming and outgoing shipments.\n\nReceive, store, and move products within the facility.\n\nStack, move, and handle bags weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs) on a regular basis.\n\nAssist with inventory management and warehouse organization.\n\nTeamwork & Reliability\nArrive on time and maintain a dependable attendance record.\n\nWork effectively with minimal supervision once training has been completed.\n\nSupport coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment.\n\nDemonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with other duties during slower operational periods.\n\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers when required.\n\nOn-Call Responsibilities\nParticipate in an after-hours on-call rotation.\n\nOnce fully trained, employees will be required to be available for 24-hour emergency call-outs for seven (7) consecutive days every three (3) weeks on a rotating schedule.\n\nRespond to operational or emergency call-outs in a timely and professional manner.\n\nAll call-out work will be compensated at applicable overtime rates.\n\nQualifications & Requirements\nRequired\nAbility to work safely in an industrial chemical environment.\n\nAbility to lift and stack 25 kg (55 lb) bags repeatedly.\n\nForklift operating experience.\n\nShipping and receiving experience.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions throughout the year.\n\nMust reside within 30 minutes of the facility to support emergency and on-call requirements.\n\nStrong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.\n\nPreferred Assets\nPrevious experience in chemical handling, blending, or manufacturing operations.\n\nKnowledge of warehouse, shipping, and inventory processes.\n\nPrevious experience working in a regulated industrial environment.\n\nWork Schedule & Compensation\nStandard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.\n\nOvertime may be required based on operational demands.\n\nEmergency call-outs are compensated at applicable overtime rates.\n\nParticipation in the rotating on-call schedule is required after successful completion of training.\n\nTraining & PPE\nComprehensive training is provided by Brenntag.\n\nAll required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is supplied by the company.\n\nOngoing training and development opportunities are available to support safe and efficient job performance.\n\nOur Offer\nWe aim to create an environment where the best people want to work, where they can turn their passion into their job and realize their full potential.\nIndividual development, on-the-job training, and development programs designed to help our employees grow in their careers.\n\nCompetitive pay and incentives.\n\nHealth and dental paid by company (with exception of LTD)\n\nDC pension plan matched 100% by employer up to 6%\n\nEFAP\n\nStarting 3 weeks' vacation\n\nFlexible work hours\n\nGym/wellness subsidy\n\nTuition reimbursement\n\nMaternity and paternal leave top-up\n\nBrenntag Canada Inc. is committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve and to promote a diverse, inclusive, accessible, merit-based, respectful and equitable workplace.
