Distribution services include product deliveries, fleet and the associated operation of a distribution center. The Transportation Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of delivery drivers / delivery assistants and Distribution Planning team including seamlessly coordinating with Warehouse Operations team, along with guiding the team to achieve day-to-day productivity and KPIs such as OTIF / Shipping Accuracy, Zero Misload and etc., follow road & transport safety and local regulations / laws, and comply with company’s QSHE requirements.\nThis key position contributes to the performance and success of management experience, exceptional communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, distribution service, and safety. Incumbent must also demonstrate the ability to lead, being detail-oriented, strong personality with continuous improvement and CAN-DO attitude.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nManage day-to-day distribution service in terms of executing product deliveries, fleet and the associated operation of a distribution center (TOC) and 3PLs.\nDevelop personnel while ensuring exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.\nAppraise performance, reward and discipline employees, resolve problems, and address staff needs.\nMonitor daily service level in terms of Distribution performances.\nMonitor productivity level through daily reports and delivery tracking system / tools.\nManage and maintain a fleet of trucks and equipment.\nResponsible for enforcing all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.\nConduct investigations to determine root causes of accidents along with ways to improve safety operations.\nWork in a team-based atmosphere to reach commercial and other supply chain related objectives.\nWork closely with Warehouse, Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and other key stakeholders to achieve cost saving and CTS reduction target.\nSupport customer and supplier complaint handling processes and suggest actions for effective corrective / preventive measures.\nEnsure that all business activities are executed according to the process description as specified in the Integrated Management System (IMS).\nImplement change, coach, and develop team members to enable continuous improvement in Logistics and Distribution.\nUndertake other duties as may be assigned by superiors.\nCompetencies / Skills / Attributes:\nAbility to maintain the highest degree of integrity\nLogical / Conceptual thinking and Analytical skill\nData driven and Fact-based approaching\nStrong problem solving and decision-making skill\nGood interpersonal, maturity, and reliability\nGood communication skill in both English and Thai (written and spoken)\nBeing energetic, organized, result-driven, and customer centric\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and projects\nAbility to maintain team positive attitude and help others adapt to change and maintain standard quality of work\nComputer literate and knowledgeable in using SAP or other well-known ERP systems\nJob Requirement / Specification:\nBachelor’s Degree (or above) in Logistics, Engineering, or related fields\n10+ years of team managing or supervising experience in Logistics or Transportation or Distribution field with proven track records in Logistics Operations Improvement projects\nTransport Safely Manager (TSM) certificate is required\nProfessional certificate in Logistics/Supply Chain Management is a plus\nBrenntag provides equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees of all backgrounds and identities to create a workplace where difference is valued because it forms a resilient and more innovative organization.
