In this role, you’ll lead the execution of complex fabrication projects, operate and maintain advanced machinery, and mentor other technicians and users. You’ll bring a blend of high-level craftsmanship, technical expertise, and creative problem-solving to ensure all prototypes and projects meet the highest functional, aesthetic, and safety standards.\nBeyond fabrication, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development of the Breville Makerspace by managing inventory, coordinating with vendors, and supporting WHS compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled maker who thrives on collaboration, continuous learning, and shaping an innovative workshop culture. This is a 12-month max term contract.\nKey responsibilities include: Operate advanced machining equipment, including multi-axis CNC machinery. Experience with multi-axis robots is a plus. Lead high-complexity builds from planning through delivery.\nMentor Junior and Makerspace Technicians in advanced fabrication and finishing techniques. Enforce WHS compliance and identify safety improvements.
