Our industry leading techniques help us create and deliver unique beer whilst doing our bit (and others’) for the environment.\nAbout The Role\nJob Purpose\nThe Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the\nsmooth operation of all plant and equipment within the facility. You will\nmaintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery, systems and equipment to maintain\nsafety functionality, maximise production efficiency, minimise downtime whilst\nfollowing site HSEQ standards and guidelines.\nKey Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities\nMaintenance ActivitiesPerform preventive and reactive maintenance troubleshooting as required to resolve automation, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues on site machinery and equipment as determined by the Maintenance Delivery Manager.\n\nCompliance and SafetyEnsure all work adheres to the sites HSEQ procedures, policies and standards.\nConduct task risk assessments and follow health, safety, and environmental policies.\n\nTechnical SupportAssist with the installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment.\nInterpret technical drawings and documentation for troubleshooting and repairs.\n\nDocumentation and ReportingMaintain accurate maintenance records and provide reports to the Maintenance Delivery Manager.\n\nCollaboration and CommunicationAttend safety, production and team meetings as required.\nWork and communicate closely with other engineering teams and the production teams to ensure efficient operations.\nEnsure detailed hand backs and handovers are completed for every task and end of shift.\n\nTraining and DevelopmentParticipate in training identified by the business to meet legislation, enhance skills and knowledge.\n\nFlexibility\nSupport operations at Hop Hub or other sites as required.\nStand in for Maintenance Delivery Manager as required.\nKey Relationships - Internal & External\nHSE, Production, Finance, People, Distillery Operations, 3rd Parties\nHealth & Safety\nEnsure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations You\nQualifications & Specific Training\nSVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent qualification.\nExperience\nProven experience in a maintenance role within the food and beverage or a similar high-paced manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated ability to interpret technical documentation and drawings.\nHands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and automation failures.\nKnowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and control systems is highly desirable.\nFamiliarity with food safety standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP.\nKnowledge\nStrong understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP) and industry best practices.\nIn-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.\nFamiliarity with Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and work orders.\nSkills\nStrong problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills.\nExcellent teamworking and good communication skills (both verbal and written) to liaise effectively with production teams and external stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively.\nPersonal Attributes\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.\nHigh level of integrity and ethical standards in all aspects of work.\nAbility to remain calm and composed under
