You will work with key business stakeholders, IT experts, and subject-matter experts to plan and deliver optimal data solutions. You will create, maintain, and optimize data pipelines as workloads move from development to production for specific use cases to ensure seamless data flow for the use case. You will perform technical and non-technical analyses on project issues and help to ensure technical implementations follow quality assurance metrics. You will analyze data and systems architecture, create designs, and implement information systems solutions.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIdentify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.\nDevelop and design data pipelines to support an end-to-end solution. \nDevelop and maintain artifacts (e.g. schemas, data dictionaries, and transforms related to ETL processes). \nIntegrate data pipelines with AWS cloud services to extract meaningful insights. \nWork with stakeholders to support their data infrastructure needs and assist with data-related technical issues.\nDesign and develop robust and functional dataflows to support raw data and expected data. \nProvide Tier 3 technical support for deployed applications and dataflows. \nDefine and communicate a clear product vision for our client’s software products, aligning with user needs and business objectives. \nCreate and manage product roadmaps that reflect both innovation and growth strategies. \nPartner with a government product owner and a product team of 7-8 FTEs. \nCollaborate with the rest of data engineering team to design and launch new features. \nCoordinate and document dataflows, capabilities, etc. \nOccasionally (as needed) support to off-hours deployment such as evening or weekends.\nCo-location: High colocation, 70-80% onsite\nRequired Qualifications, Education, and Experience:\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. \nExpertise in distributed computing frameworks to handle large-scale data processing. \nFamiliarity working with Amazon Web Managed Services (AWS) or any other cloud environments. \nWorking experience with datastores like PostgreSQL, S3, Redshift, MongoDB/DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and SQL. \nProficient utilizing Python with key libraries like pandas and PySark, NiFi, Airflow, AWS Lambda or similar technologies. \nWorking knowledge with software platforms and services, such as, Docker, Kubernetes, JMS/SQS, SNS and Kafka. \nFamiliar with Linux/Unix server environments. \nExperience with Agile development methodology. \nPublishing and/or presenting design reports. \nCoordinating with other team members to reach project milestones and deadlines. \nWorking knowledge with Collaboration tools, such as, Jira and Confluence\nDesired Qualifications, Education, and Experience:\nMaster’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. \nFamiliarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle. \nDirect Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC) component's data architectures and environments (IC-GovCloud experience preferred). \nExperience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications. \nKeen interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies to solve real world problem sets vital to national security. \nWorking knowledge with public keys and digital certificates. \nExperience with DevOps environments. \nExpertise in various COTS, GOTS, and open source tools which support development of data integration and visualization applications. \nExperience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications. \nSpecialization in Object Oriented Programming languages, scripting, and databases.\nThe Successful Candidate will Possess:\nProspective candidates should have strong risk management skills, excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills.\nThe candidate must be analytical and effectively able to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.\nAbility to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of staff and management.\nAbility to exercise independent judgment, develop relationships, and obtain consensus among interested parties.\nCritical thinker with strong technical skills, diagnostic skills and problem-solving ability.\nSolid written and verbal communication skills to negotiate direction, drive projects and projects to successful conclusion and deliver knowledge to team members verbally and via clear designs, runbooks and technical engineering and exchange sessions.\nSelf-starter, flexible, adaptable, collaborative and motivated to champion continuous improvement.\nAbility to develop peer networks across an enterprise to maintain technology awareness and to support resolution of problems.\nAbility to operate across traditional technical boundaries, comfortable working in the compute space as well as the storage space in an operational capacity.\nTechnically curious and driven to learn new skills.\nGeneral Factors:\nDepending on project requirements, may be required to work within a compressed schedule;
