This role will troubleshoot technical issues, automate routine tasks, strengthen existing capabilities, and collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver effective technology solutions.\nAs part of the Infrastructure, Security, and Technology Operations (IST) team, the Technology Operations Specialist will support Bridge Defense’s Northern Virginia office and contribute to the continued development of the company’s technology infrastructure. Over time, this role will take on increasing ownership of specific technology areas and initiatives.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the daily operation, reliability, and security of Bridge Defense’s IT environment, including endpoints, identity systems, cloud services, and network infrastructure.\nAdminister and support Microsoft Entra ID, including user provisioning, access management, conditional access policies, and identity governance.\nSupport Microsoft 365 environments, including both GCC and GCC High tenants, while understanding the operational and compliance requirements associated with each.\nManage endpoint configuration, security, and compliance using Microsoft Intune and related management tools across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving hardware, software, identity, connectivity, and user access.\nMaintain and improve IT processes, systems, and documentation to increase reliability and operational efficiency.\nDevelop scripts and automation to streamline administrative tasks, reporting, troubleshooting, and routine operations.\nApply security best practices in daily operations, including identifying risks, escalating concerns, and supporting compliance initiatives.\nAssist with evaluating and implementing new technology solutions through research, testing, and documented recommendations.\nSupport network infrastructure, including firewall administration, DNS management, and connectivity troubleshooting.\nParticipate in change management processes by proposing, documenting, testing, and implementing configuration changes.\nMaintain IST documentation, including standard operating procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base content.\nPartner with engineering teams to identify opportunities for internal automation and process improvements.\nCollaborate with employees across the organization to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.\nRequired Qualifications:\n2-5 years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role.\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nMust be a U.S. citizen\nExperience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 environments.\nExperience supporting endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune or similar MDM platforms.\nHands-on experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.\nExperience troubleshooting and administering network infrastructure, including firewalls and DNS.\nBasic Linux administration and command-line experience.\nAbility to write scripts for automation and troubleshooting using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.\nUnderstanding of identity and authentication concepts, including SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.\nUnderstanding of Zero Trust security principles, including least privilege access, identity-based security, continuous verification, and device trust.\nUnderstanding of PKI concepts, certificates, encryption fundamentals, and basic key management principles.\nAbility to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and apply foundational concepts to new tools and platforms.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to connect individual technical issues to broader system impacts.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical processes clearly.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting Microsoft GCC High or other regulated/government cloud environments.\nFamiliarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or NIST 800-53 security frameworks.\nExperience with Microsoft Defender security products, including Defender for Cloud Apps.\nExperience with incident management platforms or SIEM tools.\nExperience creating and maintaining technical documentation libraries or knowledge bases.\nRelevant certifications such as:\nCompTIA Security+\nCompTIA Network+\n\nExperience working in defense, intelligence, government contracting, or other regulated environments.\nActive security clearance or previous clearance eligibility.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nTake ownership of problems and drive them through resolution.\nIdentify opportunities for improvement rather than simply maintaining existing systems.\nProactively communicate risks, issues, and recommendations.\nLearn quickly and become a trusted technical resource across the organization.\nBalance technical execution with sound judgment in a growing company environment.\nApproach technology as a business enabler and understand the mission impact of reliable, secure systems.\nOperate effectively in an environment where priorities evolve and processes continue to mature.\nGeneral Factors:\nDepending on project requirements, may be required to work within a compressed schedule;
