We are a seed-stage neurotechnology company developing technology that has the potential to transform how we interact with the human brain.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for an Electrical Engineering Lead to own the architecture strategy and delivery of the electronic systems behind Bridge’s custom ultrasound hardware: from system partitioning and component selection through schematic, layout, bring-up, and validated hardware.\nTwo design challenges sit at the center of this role. The first is high-speed I/O: moving raw acquisition data off the front-end over multi-gigabit-per-second links, with a focus on designing for signal integrity, clocking, and proper layout. The second is power delivery: multi-rail systems operating at watts of power, designed for efficiency and thermal headroom.\nYou will interface with ASICs at register level, write Python daily for bring-up and test automation, and know enough firmware to collaborate efficiently with our embedded systems team.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn the end-to-end electronics architecture of Bridge’s custom imaging hardware: system partitioning, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout oversight, bring-up, and design validation.\n\nDesign and deliver boards with multi-gigabit-per-second serial links (e.g., LVDS, JESD204, PCIe/USB 3.x-class SerDes), owning signal integrity, impedance control, clocking, and high-speed layout.\n\nArchitect watts-class power delivery: multi-rail regulation, sequencing, efficiency, thermal design, and noise isolation for sensitive analog acquisition circuitry.\n\nEvaluate, select, and integrate ultrasound transmit/receive ASICs and analog front-ends: own the electrical interface to custom silicon and drive vendor relationships.\n\nCo-define the hardware/software boundary with the Embedded Systems Lead: digital interface definition, control plane, and data path. Write firmware where it accelerates bring-up.\n\nBuild Python-based bring-up, characterization, and automated test tooling for every board revision.\n\nLead board bring-up, debug, and failure analysis; manage PCB fabrication and assembly vendors and drive design reviews.\n\nMentor the R&D Engineer, reviewing their schematics, layouts, and test methodology.\n\nLay the documentation and design-control groundwork for eventual development in a regulated environment.\n\nWho you are\nRequired\nDegree in electrical engineering or related field, with 6+ years of hands-on board-level design experience and multiple custom boards taken through production or production-equivalent builds.\n\nExtended experience with high-speed digital board design: multi-gigabit-per-second serial links, controlled-impedance routing, and signal/power integrity analysis.\n\nDemonstrated design of power delivery systems operating at watts of power: switching regulators, multi-rail architectures, sequencing, and thermal management.\n\nWorking understanding of ASICs and how to interface with them: register-level configuration, electrical integration of custom silicon or analog front-ends, and informed dialogue with silicon vendors.\n\nEnough firmware fluency to write some embedded code yourself and work effectively day-to-day with an embedded systems engineer.\n\nGood command of Python for bring-up scripts, automated test, and data analysis.\n\nExperience from consumer electronics or other high-volume consumer products, where cost, manufacturability, and iteration speed were real constraints.\n\nNice to have\nFamiliarity with hardware design in regulated environments (e.g., IEC 60601, design controls, medical or similar).\n\nPrior work on ultrasound, imaging, or other high-channel-count data acquisition front-ends, including AFE/ADC characterization.\n\nFPGA familiarity, enough to reason about the interface between your boards and programmable logic.\n\nEMC/EMI pre-compliance and debug experience.\n\nEarly-stage startup experience where you set the hardware roadmap yourself.\n\nWhat we offer\nThe opportunity to shape a role and a team from the earliest stages.\n\nDirect collaboration with leading clinicians and neuroscientists at top-tier academic institutions.\n\nExcellent medical benefits and a 6% match 401(k).\n\nBridge Neurotech is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4430,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":6,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Electrical & Electronic Engineering"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-28T02:14:21Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":59,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.785,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":23,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:1","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-11-05T05:54:30Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/bridge-neurotech-electrical-engineering-lead","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/bridge-neurotech-electrical-engineering-lead.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-06T03:56:17Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":6695,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-07T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4445191},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4445191"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fbridge-neurotech-electrical-engineering-lead"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fbridge-neurotech-electrical-engineering-lead"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fbridge-neurotech-electrical-engineering-lead"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/bridge-neurotech-electrical-engineering-lead\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fbridge-neurotech-electrical-engineering-lead"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3374309}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"bridgeneurotech.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3374309},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
