GondolaBio aims to leverage cutting-edge biological research to discover, create, test, and deliver transformative medicines to treat patients who suffer from genetic diseases. \nWhat You'll Do \nYou will design and execute integrative computational analyses spanning multiomics \ndatasets to accelerate therapeutic discovery in rare and genetically defined diseases. \nWorking independently in a collaborative, data-driven environment, you will identify \nopportunities where diverse biological data can answer challenging scientific questions, \ngenerate therapeutic hypotheses, and advance biomarker discovery. You will leverage AI- \nenabled computational approaches to accelerate scientific discovery while applying sound \nscientific judgment throughout the research process. \nDepending on your experience, you will contribute to or independently lead computational \nanalyses across diverse disease programs. \nResponsibilities \nDesign, execute, and interpret computational analyses spanning transcriptomic, proteomic, genetic, and other biological data modalities to support target identification, biomarker discovery, mechanism-of-action studies, and translational research. \nAnalyze and integrate public and internal datasets to generate, prioritize, and refine therapeutic hypotheses across diverse disease programs. \nCollaborate closely with cross-functional scientists to translate computational analyses into actionable scientific insights. \nCommunicate results clearly and effectively through presentations, written reports, and contributions to scientific publications and conferences. \nWhere You'll Work \nThis is a U.S.-based remote role with periodic travel (quarterly or as needed) to GondolaBio's Palo Alto office or conference locations. \nWho You Are \nRequired: \nPhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or a related quantitative discipline with 2+ (5+ for Senior) years of industry and/or postdoctoral experience applying computational methods to large-scale biological datasets. \nDemonstrated experience analyzing transcriptomic, proteomic, genetic, and/or related biological datasets to answer complex scientific questions. \nWorking proficiency in Python for scientific computing and data analysis.• Comfortable tackling unfamiliar biological problems by rapidly learning new disease areas, identifying appropriate datasets, and integrating diverse evidence into actionable scientific insights. \nExcellent communication skills and the ability to thrive as an independent contributor in a collaborative, fast-moving research environment. \nPreferred: \nExperience supporting biomarker discovery, translational research, or target \nidentification in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting. \nExperience with transcriptomic approaches, particularly single-cell RNA sequencing. \nExperience with spatial transcriptomics or related cellular profiling technologies isstrongly preferred. \nExperience using large language models and agentic AI workflows to accelerate computational biology research, with appropriate scientific validation of outputs. \nDeep expertise in at least one area of computational biology while contributing broadly across multiomics analyses. \nWhat We Offer \nPatient Days, where we are fortunate to hear directly from individuals living with the conditions we are seeking to impact throughout the year and learn how we can improve our efforts. \nA culture inspired by our values: put patients first, think independently, be radically transparent, every minute counts, and let the science speak. \nAn unyielding commitment to always putting patients first. \nA decentralized model that enables our program teams to focus on advancing science and helping patients. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
